Class of 2004 Rankings
Players are ranked by their NBA potential. Early Defections, players that have left school early can be found at the bottom of the page.Analysis: The High School Class of 2000 has some marquee talents at the top who have already taken their games to the NBA, however overall this is a very weak draft class. After the first 10 or so players, the talent level significantly drops off. In 2000, the class lost two of it's superstars when Darius Miles and DeShawn Stevenson turned pro out of High School. Nether player was able to gain their eligibility, meaning they would have had to sit out a year, or play Juco ball. In a sense the decision to turn pro early was made for them, fortunately for them they were both first round picks, (first rounders have guarunteed contracts). The 2001 Draft saw 7 more outstanding talents from the class decide to play for pay, with Eddie Griffin ,Rodney White, Zach Randolph, Gerald Wallace, Omar Cook, Alton Ford, and Benjamin Eze (undrafted) all turning pro. here is a look at the top players from the 2004 Class.
