Strengths: Length and athleticism. Can be a major defensive presence in the paint either blocking and altering shots. Tremendous wingspan, measuring in at 7-3. Lead the team in blocks his sophomore year despite diminished playing time. Has added a mid range jumper to his game that falls regularly, even if it looks slightly awkward. Tremendous potential if someone can coax it out of him, which is usually enough to get drafted as a big man.

Weaknesses: Must get stronger. Very thin and tends to shy away from contact, will get bowled over in the league with his current frame. Must become more aggressive in all facets of the game. Given his natural size and abilities, one would expect to see a lot more production out of him. With the introduction of the spot up mid range jumper to his game, his low post scoring seems non existent, except on put backs. Needs to develop some sort of low post offensive game, a reliable hook shot from him could be potentially devastating. Would have liked to see more growth out of his game his sophomore year, was really positioned to be a key piece to last year's team, but seemed to struggle on the inexperienced Jayhawks last year. Only started 13 of 33 games his sophomore year, losing ground to Sasha Kaun, Darnell Jackson and Julian Wright. While he is an imposing shot blocker, he needs to play more under control as he tends to get into foul trouble evidenced by his team leading 80 fouls in the 05-06 season.

Notes: Really needs to make a name for himself this year to get on NBA scout's radars. Made increasingly difficult by the thumb surgery he got in the offseason and with the arrival of Darrell Arthur, another player that will get playing time in the post. Still, the ability is there, namely length and athleticism, to play a prominent role on the Jayhawks 06-07 team and get drafted.

Strengths: Incredibly long and athletically gifted ... Can run the floor extremely well ... Has a 7-4 wingspan... One of the best shot blockers around... Quick off his feet with good reflexes ... Has a big defensive presence ... Plays hard at both ends of the floor... Good at tip backs and converting garbage baskets ... Can hit the mid-range jumper with improving consistency ... Finishes well around the basket with either hand... Exceptional rebounder due to physical attributes ...

Weaknesses: Must be patient about the NBA, right now he's just a work in progress, project ... Needs to add strength to bang down low with stronger players ... Needs to work on low post moves ... Footwork needs improvement ... Prefers to play facing the hoop rather than with his back to the basket ... Must be more aggressive and get involved on every play ...
