NBA Comparison: Josh McRoberts/Randolph Morris
Strengths: Bigman with good body strength and solid face the basket skills ... Has a pro body with a great frame, with long arms and big shoulders ... Very good ball handler for a player his size which has led to comparisons to players such as Chris Bosh ... Solid shooting touch and some polished moves round the basket ... Can face the basket and hit jump shots out to 15 feet ... Could have the size to play both PF and center at the next level ... Good passing ability for a big man ... Very even keeled ...

Weaknesses: A solid athlete but not extraordinary ... The added weight seems to have stripped him of his quickness and athleticism to a degree. As he continues to put on muscle mass, this could continue to be a concern ... His foot speed and explosiveness is not at an elite level ... His face the basket skills, particularly ball handling will be somewhat lost due to the fact that he lacks great foot speed ... Does not always play with a high level of focus and intensity ... Was considered a top 3 player in his class as a sophomore but may be a player that physically developed early and peaked at 16-17 years of age ... A few years at Georgetown should help him develop as a more traditional back to the basket post guy ...

Strengths: Monroe is a long PF with very nice offensive moves especially when facing the basket ... He can penetrate into the lane with a very quick first step ... He is quite athletic and light on his feet and is a shot blocker in the paint ... He has unusual ball handling ability for a player his size ... He needs to continue to assert himself against top talent, as he can be content with just blending in, instead of dominating as he was at the 2006 Nike Camp ... In terms of raw talent and potential, he has no competition among big men in his class.

Weaknesses: His game is not very complete right now ... He seems to have a few skills and then struggles to put everything together on the court ... He needs to bulk up a lot and add muscle in order to bang with NBA bigs ... He doesn't show much range on his shot, and is a below average free throw shooter, hitting just 65% of his shots last year.
