The second day of the summer league saw a number of break out
performances including rookies Rodrigue Beaubois (34
pts), Stephen Curry (29 pts), Tyreke Evans (25 pts), Chase Budinger (25 pts),
DeMar DeRozan (20 pts) Austin Daye (19 pts), and DaJuan Summers (19 pts). Other
top performers included Cartier Martin (27 pts), Adam Morrison (22 pts), and Quincy
Douby (21 pts).

The 2009 NBA Summer League got underway on Friday with a lot
of scattered, sloppy play, but also excitement and promise. DaJuan Summers was our Day One player of the day
helping Detroit to victory with 24 points and 7 boards.

The Jazz closed out the week's
play on a strong note with Thursday's massive rally against the Magic
and Friday's solid team-focused win over a talent-laden Thunder squad
(although it must be mentioned that the Thunder's top player, Russell
Westbrook, shut it down today with his work complete in Orlando after
a dominant week).
