2009 Las Vegas AAUs: Top Prospects

While this was surely a down year for scouting prospects in Las Vegas, there was some standout talent nonetheless. Here are the top prospects that we saw over the past week.

This was an interesting day of AAU action as many of the top teams with NBA prospects were eliminated on the first day of tournament play after "pool play" rounded out the seedings. Tony Wroten, Isaiah Austin, Perry Jones, and Anthony Bennett are all done, as their teams lost. Here are a few other players who we scouted here in Vegas.

Perry JonesThis game ended up being a giant coming out party Perry Jones, the rising senior from Duncanville, TX. Jones is oozing with potential as a carbon copy of a young Tracy McGrady (he even looks like McGrady), and has committed to Baylor. July 23rd
2009 AAUs: Day 2 Recap

The Super 64 tournament got under way with pool play on Wednesday and Thursday and the senior class continued to disappoint media and coaches alike. NBADraft.net was forced to scrap our game plan of sticking to the main gyms in order to mine the 300+ teams and half dozen gyms in the area for legitimate NBA talent.
