Baylor's Isaiah Austin out with ankle sprain

Source:
Beaumont Enterprise

Isaiah Austin had an impressive showing in Baylor's season opening win against Lehigh with 22 points in 17 minutes. The downside of his debut was his having to leave the game after his spraining his right ankle. The Bears did not really need him in their 78-47 thrashing of Jackson State, though after witnessing his offensive prowess, it is obvious they would like him back sooner rather than later.

Simply put, this is a take on the suspension of incoming Indiana University freshmen Hanner Perea and Peter Jurkin. Both were suspended for the Hoosiers first 9 games due to their association with Mark Adams, their AAU coach and susposed "Indiana booster". Between 1986-1992 gave $185 to the school, mainly because Adams wife wanted an alumni bumper sticker. You really can't make this stuff up.

Harrison BarnesHarrison BarnesAs the consensus top ranked player in the high school class of 2010, Harrison Barnes had a great deal to live up to. The Iowa born Barnes was undefeated during his last season at Ames High School, also excelling in post-season All-Star contests such as the McDonald's All-American Game, Nike Hoop Summit and Jordan Brand Classic. He was given the expectation of carrying North Carolina as soon as he stepped on campus, the first freshman ever to garner preseason All-American honors.
