Two months after injuring his toe, Duke guard Kyrie Irving had his cast removed on Friday. It remains to be seen whether the freshman will be able to get back on the court, however.

Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski has expressed doubts Irving will return before the end of the season.

The freshman averaged 17.4 points and 5.1 assists in eight games before getting hurt against Butler. He posted the following on his Twitter account.

"Cast retired...now walking boot and rehab!!! Feels good to see my leg again lol"

The Duke medical staff now will evaluate Irving's improvement and determine if he can play again as the Blue Devils try to defend their national title.
