Anthony Davis has been considered the top prospect in this draft for a while, even before he declared. Do you see any players stock boosting before the draft and being chosen #1?

There’s no way anyone overtakes him for #1 pick but it is possible that he does not end up as the best player in this draft.

No, MKG, Robinson, Beal and Drummond are all very good prospects, but they’re not on the same level.

Nope, this isnt a year were the #1 spot is up for debate

As UNC-21 said, there’s basically a 99.9% chance he’ll get picked #1. If you’re a GM you basically have to take him. If you pass on Davis and he puts up ROTY / All Star / Borderline MVP stats, than you’re going to get canned. If you pick Davis and he busts, at least you can say he was the consensus #1, and no one saw him busting on draft night.

But I do believe there will be multiple players that will pass Davis as the top player in this draft class. I’m skeptical about his build. His 6’10 height and long wingspan are great and can help him at the next level, but I need to see how he can hold up against NBA PF’s. There are SG’s and SF’s listed in the same ballpark as his weight. I can definitely see him struggling against dominant PF’s like Love, Dirk, Duncan, Aldrige, etc. If he get’s up to 230-240 range he should be fine.

Garnett was questioned about same things but now as his career is in it’s twilight and he is considered one of the tough guys in the league. Davis will put on weight and obviously get stronger but even until then he will still be an elite defender due to his length and timing.
