Why did Kobe get all first team defense and Dwayne Wade get secound???????

its because coaches vote for all defense teams and writers vote for DPOY. who is right is a difficult one to answer...

They are both great defenders. I'm pretty sure the coaches vote for the people who get onto first team. Wade might have had better steals and blocks, but it's not like Kobe is a slouch in either of those areas. They can both do a pretty good job of locking up guys as well as playing team defense.

People...

Many people think the block & steal category determine who's a great defender, and those people are wrong. Both are great, but in essence, does it really matter? Why do so many people care about such arbitrary things?
