2 guys in the league that are better basketball players than Lebron James.
yeah I've been building my own website so I haven't been able to constantly post.
But I'm just saying Lebron's stats aren't too much better than Dwade's and technically Wade could end up with the better career.
People are just so far on the Lebron bandwagon they can't think straight.
ive been trying to say this all along...if lebron wasnt an athletic freak...he wudnt have been so good...kobe/d-wade dont have the size and strength of lbj but are styll better and and much more cluther then lbj..i think in 1-2 year you can even put kevin durant in this convo..this shud have been lbj's year to win it all but he cudnt...its a shame if he doesnt win a ring in his career but im pretty sure he'll will a few before he hangs em up..
i am total agreement wiht u kobe like him or hate him is the best player in the world look at what he did for the us at the olympics he he solidified those fn egos and put them in check and look at wade he gets the heat into the play offs every year wiht nothing around him
Wade and Kobe are better skill-wise than LeBron... But I don't know if you can say they are better players (I think Kobe is better right now, though, not Wade).
Athleticism has very much to do with being a good basketball player--maybe as much as skill, and it's without question LeBron is the best physical specimen of the 3. Not only that but he is much younger.
Skill-wise? There are quite a few players who are better than LeBron... From a physical stand point he is tops in the business and that makes him good enough to be the 2nd best NBA player right now.
If Peja had LeBrons size and athleticism he might of also been great.
LeBron is a better passer and rebounder than both of them, if Kobe or Wade had LeBrons size they would of never been Kobe or Wade. Right now 0 championships to 1 championship is really nothing compared to 11 and 2
Wade is also way older than LeBron. Wade has also won nothing as the best player on the team
You blame the LeBron lovers cant think straight. You pretty much seem like a LeBron hater, which isn't better to be true
Lebron's time will come. The only reason why Kobe is so good is because of his supporting cast. By himself he can't do much. You saw how much he cried in 06-07 because the Lakers were no good. He didn't carry his team as far as he himself could have gone. Now Wade, I do agree with. He won it in Miami when they only had Shaq. He can bring it and he is a little better in terms of clutch but not skill. (I am not a big Lebron fan, but you can't hide talent, and that is exactly what all three of them have, I just think Lebron has more of it.) Lebron carried the Cavs to the finals in '07. I didn't see Kobe doing that in '05 or '06. The Cavs were not great in '07. They only had Lebron yet he still carried them to the Finals. Yeah, he lost against the spurs but you can't ignore the talent, clutch shooting, bbiq that he exercised that year. I have never seen Kobe execute that kind of performance. I have seen him be clutch and make some amazing shots, but that does nothing to me in terms of carrying a team. Both Lebron and Wade have carried their teams to the Finals. Kobe has only done it with his entire team helping him. Lebron and Wade did not have much of a team when they did it. You put Kobe on the Cavs and he will struggle just as much as you say Lebron does. Except Kobe will make it worse by whining about it. Lebron will deal with it and do the best he can. That's why I think Lebron is better than Kobe. And D wade is the best out of all of them. (but only slightly)
Who care's about the what-ifs??? You can't come with a statement like that and say "I think i have a valid arguement"... I don't know how someone like Wade has a higher bball iq than LeBron because for a superstar, in my opinion, Wade has one of the lower bball iq's. Also, you could definitely say Kobe is better in the clutch with a legit arguement, but how so Wade? One more thing is what if I say what if Lebron had the physicals of Dwight Howard. He would be the GOAT.
Whoever commented above about how Wade or Kobe may not have developed their games the way they did if they have Lebron's physical gifts has a great point. On the flip side though, if they did have Lebrons gifts maybe they would have bene even more driven to develop a complete game because they recognized their infinitely high ceiling.
I think you are right though, as a basketball player growing up if you have lebron's unparalleled physical gifts the best way to success is to use and abuse them every chance you get. Kobe and Wade had no other choice but to develop in different ways.
Also, Point Blank you said that Wade and Kobe have better IQ's than Lebron. Kobe has spent most of his career chucking up shots with a me-first attitude until he matured in the last 3-4 years. And how can you really justify Wade being a better shooter than Lebron... wade shoots 28% from three for his career Lebron shoots 35%
You cant compare Kobe and LeBron with that argument because LeBron still has plenty of time to win titles. Kobe could have 5 by tonight but remember that Jordan didn't win his first title until he was 27 and ended up with 6 rings. I predict LeBron will win his first title when he's 27 if not next year depending on where he goes.
Also many people say Russell had a better career because he A. won more titles than anyone ever, and B. coached his team to championships while he still played.
LeBron James, Is Good
When you watch him play, he amazes you he does things nobody ever thought was even possible
Whether it be a Tomahawk Jam through traffic with his arm as high as the top of the backboard,
a reverse alley-oop dunk, a perfect pass to a guy, etc.
And He wins games, for his team.
When you look at his team you keep thinking
"They're going to win it all this season"
After of course they have the best record, after dominating everybody on the home court
after sweeping their opponent in the 1st or 2nd round, after having 60+ wins in a game.
After LeBron James gets Triple Double after Triple Double scoring 50 points in games.
But when it comes to championships, he cant win it.
And just Leaves us Asking WHY?
Then of course that leaves for the media and everybody else to Blame LeBron James' Team
Of course its the Team not LeBron James, I mean, He's the perfect NBA Player
"Where Amazing Happens" "Where LeBron James Happens"
So we Blame LeBron James' Team time and time again after failing to win in the pLayoffs
and not LeBron, Of course some people might say
"He Choked" or something but how is averaging 29points 8rebounds 8assists choking?
LeBron is Good but until he Proves that he CAN lead his Team to win a championship
no matter who his team is.. Then He Can Be GREAT
Oh and when i think about Wilt vs Russell
I think about wilt having 100 points
Wilt having 50.4ppg in a season
wilt having 55 rebounds in a game
Wilt being probably the greatest Center if all time
Then lastly i think about Russell Being the Best Winner of all time
Also people need to stop talking like LeBron is lazy. He develops his physical gifts all day and all night. Have we ever seen someone 6'9 265 that can dribble or pass (other than magic who still wasn't as big) quite like LeBron? He still works harder than anyone to get his body to be arguably the most athletic person in the world. and his jump shot has come a long way since his rookie season. just remember that its a lot easier to gain skill when your 6'4 220 like wade, then when you're 6'9 265 like LeBron. Not to say that wade doesn't work hard because he works as hard as LeBron. But he's more skilled because he has a different type of advantage. Don't knock LeBron's work ethic because he's probably in the gym right now.
I actually love Lebron, I just think people give him too much credit now a days. There's no reason a 6'9" 274 pound Lebron James shouldn't have took tony allen into the post against Boston this year. Like someone said Kobe or Dwade wouldn't have disappeared in any of those games. Someone else said if you put Kobe or Dwade on Cleveland or they a 60 win team. that isn't a legit question because if they were there the team would be built differently. And don't compare kobe's maturity with his basketball Iq. He chose to jack up 30 shots a game. But he knew and knows how to win. You can't come in and run the triangle like he did at such a young age if you don't have a high basketball iq. Plus I don't think Lebron studies film like Kobe, when we watch Kobe he comes out an attacks his opponents weakness, Lebron doesn't change his for anything, which is why tony allen was shutting him down. I mean Tony allen is making kobe work but we see, when Kobe wants to score he scores.
Someone said athleticism has everything to do with being a good basketball player.
So why is larry bird one of the greatest players ever? He said himself he wasn't athletic, he said in an interview that he had a 26 inch running vertical. that's not athletic. and i figured the Lebron stans would come out and make these dumb arguments but seriously.
and lastly jah12345 Lebron only shoots 23% from 3. but you should know that Dwayne Wade averages 48% shooting for his career to Lebron James' 47. So even with shooting 28% from 3 his total% is still higher.
This is a stupid and senseless post, and I'm not a big fan of any of em'........ BUT -
LBJ is better than Kobe & Wade, and here's why -
Way more physically dominating
Has the vision of a PG, while standing 6'8" - also seems to be more of a willing passer than KB or DW
better rebounder
better defender [when he wants to be]
so...... if you look at b ball skills - how can you say LBJ isn't better than kobe & wade?
Again.... stupid post, anyways.
Do you know anything, Wilt was a horrible player. All he ever cared about was his stats. He used to ask scorekeepers what his stats were during the game.
Lebron was a no show late in the playoffs because of Delonte West (he was messin around with Bron;s mom). memphisgriz731 said it best
I like the arguement of better supporting cast though. Kobe has the best supporting cast in the whole league bar none. But this arguement goes against Lebron because D-Wade has one of the worst in the league.
Verdict: Lebron and D-Wade better than Kobe, Russell better than Wilt
LOL at "Wilt was a horrible player." Sure he was...
This argument really only holds water if LBJ goes his entire career without a championship. In that case putting Kobe or DWade above him might make sense in hindsight. Right now he was deserving of the MVP trophy this past year, I don't care what anybody says.
Worst case scenario (basketball wise) he never wins a championship which would make him comparable to Elgin Baylor. Baylor never won a championship but most basketball historians would place him among the top 15 if not the top 10 players of all time over somebody like even John Havlicek and his 8 championships.
Shaq and MJ didn't win their first championships till they were 28, Wilt and Hakeem until they were 31. They all ended up with multiple championships. LBJ is still 25! Let's give him time
Everybody keeps sayin if kobe had lebrons size, the fact of the matter is he doesn't. i love kobe he's one of my all-time favs but lebron is a freak show and can pretty much do everything that kobe can do, the only thing i feel kobe has over LBJ right now is his killer instinct and 4 maybe 5 rings..
u cant forgot that kobe in the 06-7 season did carry the lakers to i believe 44 wins in the wild west, while lebron plays in the weak ass east. Kobe is better than bron in my eyes, just more skills overall

Yeah, Bill Russell may have had a better NBA career than Wilt, but can you honestly say you think that he was a better basketball player? Wilt one year had like 24ppg, 23rpg, and 8apg. That is just ridiculous. They say how great a rebounder and defender Russell was, but Wilt beat him in rebounds like every year. I admit, Russell had a better career, but there is no way he was as good a basketball player as Wilt overall. Comparing defense, there can be an argument either way, but when you combine offense to that, Wilt takes the cake, and he eats it too! I don't care if you say, "That is because he is bigger." Because height, strength, athleticism, ect. are all parts of what make a basketball player. Excuses don't.
You can't just disregard Lebron's physical ability. That's just the same as disregarding Kobe's technique and footwork....throw that at and Kobe is worthless. You make no sense.
There is no way in the world you can say that Wad is a better defender, shooter, post player, or has higher basketball IQ than Lebron. Absolutely absurd.
Get off Kobe's cock man
He's 6'9 270lbs and can do everything DW can do point blank period. He gives effort 100% ALL of the time which is why we even see him get dunked on or crossed over by lesser talents(ocassionaly). He's the biggest, strongest, fastest, most athletic creature we've seen in the NBA. For that reason alone you can't say IF Mamba or Flash had Lebron's size they wouldnt produce the same way he does. That he was given the name KING JAMES. Kobe=MAMBA Deadly,Venomous,Quick, Percise. ALL the Kobe lovers can compare him to Michael but bottom line is Jordan is 6/6 in the Finals enough said. Could've one MVP EVERY year. The Lebron James Can do that "potentially" from 2010-2020 think about it. Dwyane=FLASH Explosive, Fast, Quick, Emotional, Aggressive. Wade Ascended to superstardom quickly yet his style leave him susceptible to injury. His risk taking style landed him a championship. W/ that said at 6'4 215lbs Wade will continue to come up short w/out other key contributors. Basketball is a team sport. Even w/outa great supporting cast LEBRON JAMES IS THE MOST ATHLETIC TEAM PLAYER WE'VE EVER SEEN!!! I commend him for that much...he's more than earned my respect.
Its all personal preference this story can go on forever people will always disagree and agree better off keeping it to yourself but to throw Durant in there is absurd why dont we throw in Steph Curry he can average 30 too best offensive player doesn't equal best player in the league
I'm not done knicksboy32, and it's not a sports site. It's a website showcasing louisiana talent in all aspects of life.
Kobe and Dwade are better on ball defenders than lebron and they both get the same blocks, and steals he does, their's just aren't highlight reels.
Kobe is a better player than Lebron, Lebron averages more assists. cool so does luke ridnour, I guess you're saying he's a better player than Kobe.
BRIBAR5 you said you can't disregard Lebron's physical ability. physical ability is not something that is learned. Kobe's learned that footwork and technique you're talking about he wasn't born with the genes that lebron has to make hime 6'9" 274. so yes in the argument about pure basketball skills. Kobe is a better player.
Lebron still has time to progress but as of now he's not better than Kobe.
If all players were the same size, and had the same exact athleticism, who would you take kobe or lebron?n honestly people answer the question. If they were both the same exact size and had the same exact athleticism who would you take? and i bet most of you would say kobe because his skills are better than Lebron's right now.
the point is his basketball skills are shown through what he gives to his team on a night to night basis. he gives them scoring with no second and third option unlike kobe. rebounding because he was givin aging bigmen unlike. ball movement because mo williams doesnt even pass unlike kobe. shooting that mo doesnt always provide. AND he steals and block shots off the ball better than kobe. kobe is a better on ball defender i'll give you that. but kobe doesnt expend as much energy trying to do everything possible for his team to win.
when lebron scores 38 against da celtics "they" win
when kobe scores 38 against the celtics "he" loses
lebron should be commended for even trying to get his teammates involved. sb: &$#%#&@! LUKE RIDINOUR! that was a &$#%#&@! move wordup. lol
I'm with you hoopshard. Lebron means more to his team hence the reason he's gotten back to back mvps. Kobe looks good cause his teamates are there to make him look good. Sure technique requires tons of work and time but so does getting a body the size lebrons. Obviously this point blank nuk has never worked out enough to know! Lebron just chooses to work on the things that make him the best player in the league!!!
No argument necessary!
Point Blank-- hahahahaha--
Question to match your ridiculous one---if everyone in the league had the same footwork and technique who would you take?
Obviously this question has no validity just like yours but let me go ahead and answer it for you----LEBRON FREAKING JAMES!!! There is simply no match for his size, speed, athleticism, and vision!!
Nuff said
wow/ you really can't take a lost dude. If every player in the league had the same technique and footwork I would still take Kobe "Bean" Bryant because his other skills are still amazing.
And the bad thing is you're saying there is no argument or validity to the question. but you're still sitting here arguing it with everyone else. lol
you're a loser. You probably wash Lebron James' jock strap dude.
LBJ is second, NOW. As much as I like kobe, it's scary how much this guy STILL could progress.
The day LBJ gets a legit post game = nightmare
I don't think it'll happen this summer, but i think he'll get it around 27.
I have claimed before that Durant has a chance to win the most titles out of LeBron, Dwade, Melo, etc. He is a physical freak himself with those rediculously long arms and is still a world class athlete.
Lebron carries more of his team's load than Kobe and Wade. Clearly all three are very important to their teams success but for the past few years LBJ has proven to be the most important to his team. Cleveland is a bad team without LBJ but with him their in the top five or six teams in the whole league. Miami is a playoff team with Wade but without him they'll be contending for the number one pick. And the Lakers have won the last two championships with Kobe leading the way but to be honest they'll probably be a playoff team or in contention for the playoffs if Kobe wasn't there. And to say that both are better than Lebron because of the amount of rings isn't necessarily the best argument. Adam Morrison now has two rings and he isn't better than anyone. Also Kobe's best teammate in his championship years were: Shaq, Shaq, Shaq, Gasol, and Gasol, Wade's was Shaq. Lebron on the other hand is playing with the like of Mo WIlliams and even in the year he made the finals his second best player was Larry Hughes. Lebron is still improving as a player and has more skill than what he is being given credit for. He was a better 3pt shooter than the both of them, while taking most out of the three. He is in my opinion the better one on one defender out of the three, and according to 82games.com (http://www.82games.com/0910/CSORT11.HTM) he was the most clutch player all season. In years past this argument would me more valid but I think Lebron has surpassed both of them as the best player in the league, Kobe just gets the nod by some because of his teams overall success. And don't get me wrong I'm not a Kobe or Wade hater I'm just voicing my opinion.

So many LeBron haters it's not even worth getting into a debate over...
Also, about LeBron James not having the IQ of Wade or Bryant. Shaq-who has played with all 3- said that LeBron was the smartest player he's ever played with.
Do we still have to have this argument now?

Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade, I don't care if I get points off because people on this website don't know how to comprehend sometimes.
Lebron is the most dominant player in the NBA because of his physical abilities.
Kobe Bryant and Dwayne Wade have higher basketball iq's, better post games, better defense, better shooting skills, and are better in the clutch than Lebron James.
If Kobe Bryant ever had Lebron James physical size and abilities, his career would be better than it is now. Think of that.
Dwayne Wade the same thing. I made the argument last week that if Dwayne Wades win's 1 more championship and Lebron stays with none, Dwayne Wade would have the better career and I got 11 points off. When you think of the better player out of Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell- you automatically think of Russell's 11 championship to Wilt's 2
but stat wise Wilt was better
30.1 points, 22.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists and Bill Russell 15.1 points, 22.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists, Wilt better stats, Russell better career
why can't the same be said for lebron and Dwade?
Plus think of the label that will be thrown onto Lebron if he doesn't win a championship. He is supposed to be the face of the NBA right now and until he retires. He will get more criticism than barkley, malone, stockton, etc.
I think I have made a valid argument.
