Many of you may have seen my earlier post about 2 of the Jazz needs that I hope they will fulfill in the upcoming draft. At the end I asked if both of these needs could be fulfilled. Here is a way that this could happen. Cole Aldrich will most likely fall to the Jazz, so if they indeed pick Aldrich, I believe that he will eventually replace Okur as the starting Center in less then a year. If that does happen Okur will certainly not play backup because he is just too good, so they could trade him to fulfill their other need, A 3 to replace AK when he goes down with injury.

Trade# 1 Jazz trade Memo to the Pistons for Tayshaun Prince. The Pistons need a Center but 7 is too high for Aldrich and if they dont get a top 3 pick then they will probably have to draft a 4 in order to move Jerebko to the 3 which his natural position. Which leaves no spot for Prince. Prince is too good for a backup as is Okur.
Jazz lineup= Aldrich, Booz, Prince, Matthews, Dwill
Pistons lineup= Okur, Monroe/Davis, Jerebko, Hamilton, Stuckey

Trade #2 Jazz trade Memo to the Warriors for the draft rights to Wes Johnson and Corey Maggette. (warriors draft Johnson with the 4th pick) Biedrins might get hurt once again. When that happens the Warriors have no one to presentable to replace Biedrins.
Jazz lineup= Aldrich, Booz, Johnson, Matthews, Dwill
Warriors lineup= Okur, Wright, Randolph, Ellis, Curry

Which trade would you do if you were the Jazz GM? Any other trade possibilities?

Honestly I wouldn’t do either not to discredit your opinion but I think Utah should try and move up in the draft so they are in position to draft Greg Monroe who would be the perfect fit for him. Just about everyone on Utah can pass to an extent and Greg Monroe is a great passer. Everyone cuts to the rim and the overall team is based off of high IQ play and Monroe also fits that. I think boozer will be gone this summer leaving millsap to start at pf and Monroe could be the center. D will would make Monroe look amazing and that system is one Monroe could flourish in I think immediately in every aspect. But if I were choosing from what you proposed I would go with the tayshaun move. They could move CJ Miles to the sg and prince at the small forward and have mattews come off the bench to provide them with a good scorer. Utahs most glaring need has always been a true center or a TALLER center that can bang and grab rebounds and not allow Utah to be bullied up front. I don’t think Monroe is the toughest guy you’ll find but under Jerry Sloan he’ll have no choice but to become that way

If indeed Boozer stays Okur is on the block and for any number of teams given his expiring deal and immense talent.

The first trade works especially with villanueva not working out, but I here they may be trying to include Hamilton in any Prince deals, which make the Cap Situation a little uglier depending on what they were going to pay Matthews

The Warriors, first and foremost do not like trading their top 15 draft picks(Biedrins, Randolph, Curry, recently), they have had too much luck with them, unless the Jazz were willing to part with the 9 and maybe Wes Matthews, then they might listen. They do wanna move Magette, but then you talk about taking on 12, 13 million a season after next year, so I don’t see that one.

Now here is one from way out of left field, and likely would NEVER happen, guess who just got out jail, Agent Zero..
The Wizards want to make a play for Melo next Summer to bring him home, they need cap space for him and a couple role players to do it, they are desperate need of bigs. That said the Jazz take Okur Ronnie Price and maybe CJ Miles and 2011/12 conditional 1st, and get Zero and either Al Thornton or Mike Miller(via sign and trade) and two seconds, with second this year they get freak athletes like quincy pondexter or stanley robinson; or jazz-style players craig brackins or Grievis Vasquez…

With the Wizards Trade, Agent Zero moves to the two and focuses on learning to play without the ball and become their closer, and I can’t imagine a scarier backcourt for the next six years, screw Curry and Ellis, or Wall and Evans(if that happens)…Sloan can control him, if anyone can, and playing with D Will and Boozer after nearly losing everything will refocus him, and in Utah he can’t get in trouble.

Tyson Chandler(length/Defense) and the bobcats need to stretch the floor, though rumbles are they may go after Al Harrington with their MLE…

Also, could go after Biedrins if one of the really good three’s falls to them…
