2012 Rookies vs their current NBA Comparisons
A lot of people either compared him to Duncan or KG.
I personally don't agree with that comparison but there have been people to compare the two. Beal himself in a draft interview said he would a compare his game to Ray Allen with a little bit of Wade.
While I strongly disagree with the Wade/ Beal comparison...
.
--Marter Webster on Beal--
"“He says he wants to compare himself to Ray Allen, but he has a little more flash than Ray Allen,” Webster said. “I’d say he has a little of [Dwyane] Wade – in him"
Sounds like Beal was too young to remember Allen's young days when he was more than capable of breaking players down of the dribble. Allen's first step was elite when he first got in the league.
I can't find a pic of those 2 together. I don't think they were matched up against each other when they played. Davis is playing PF and KG has been at the 5
Found an old Ray Allen scouting report and definitely has some similarities to Beal.
A very athletic shooting guard, with great scoring potential: very good
shooter, with quick release. shoots well coming of screens, and can also
create his own shot off-the-dribble. good pull up J shooter...
A slasher, can get to the basket in half court set, and is an explosive
and exciting finisher, mostly on the break. excellent runner, has good
quickness and leaping ability, and big hands, which allows his to catch
the ball on the move and dunk on people...
Unselfish player, but not a gifted passer or ball handler, and won't be
able to, say, play the point...
Also has potential as a defender. not very big or strong, but has quick
feet, and should be able to defend shooting guards on the perimeter...
I dont think he's a 'franchise player', but could become a great
second-option on a good team, in the mold of Kandall Gill or a 'calmer'
John Starks.

Thought it would be cool to post the pictures of this years rookies matched up against the current players that they have drawn comparisons to.
