TRC1991ParticipantHow did Oladipo not make your top 3 list for drive n finish?
0- Posted on: Fri, 05/03/2013 - 10:40pm #768684

Wahoo757ParticipantBcause his ball handling is subpar and he struggles at times to create his own shot. He’s great at finishing, but can’t drive well.
0- Posted on: Sat, 05/04/2013 - 12:27am #768689

EntropyParticipantI disagree, his handling is good. It’s just that he was used off the ball more in the system but when he did have to create for himself he did well.

lalailaParticipantone thing I know for sure Noel is not only the best shot blocker but i guarantee he will be the best rebounder..
6’11 7’4wings freshmen who avg almost 10boards is a lock to be good in the L..
take a look how Davis is better rebounder than T-Rob in the NBA

PhogifyParticipantYou didn’t really consider each player’s PT when you said that statement did you?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/04/2013 - 3:56am #768704

JoeWolf1Robinson had a very disappointing rookie campaign, but rebounding was the one thing he did do.
If he would have played the 28.8 mpg Davis did, he would have grabbed 3.24 offensive rebounds to Davis’ 2.6 and his overall rebounding rate would have been 8.6 compared to Davi’s 8.2 rpg.

JoeWolf1McLemore flirted with 50/40/90, I don’t know how he’s not on lists for the best shooters.

B-ball fanParticipantI listed McLemore as third because Canaan and McCollum are much better shooters off the dribble. But you could make a case for McLemore as the top shooter. He is definitely the top catch-and-shoot guy in the draft, but I downgraded him for not taking as many shots off the dribble or shots that were contested.

rocketdan9ParticipantMclemore is a good catch and shoot player. These other guys i listed like Mcollum, Burke can also dribble stop and shoot very well.
Is there any other clutch players not rated to be drafted in the top 15 or 20 that could make the list??

rocketdan9ParticipantYeah. I like to see more lists.

Wahoo757ParticipantI see a lot of criticism, but only 3 lists. Haha.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/04/2013 - 6:52am #768738

mini_marzParticipantJust curious how almost nobody has Burke up there for handles ? IMO he’s the most crafty player with his dribble in the class and considering how much he handles the ball averaging 2 tos per game is pretty good.
0- Posted on: Sat, 05/04/2013 - 6:58am #768748
rocketdan9ParticipantBurke is good , but not ankle breaking good.
Mcollum, Bj Young, Lorenzo Brown on the other hand have ankle breaking good handles.
I did put the Greek kid on my list, bc from what i’ve seen so far, he has some very tight handles also

0- Posted on: Sat, 05/04/2013 - 7:44am #768758
machu46ParticipantI’m not really too familiar with him myself, but I think I remember hearing about how he had like 3 or 4 buzzer beaters this year to win games or something. I remember people going nuts about him for like a week lol.
Unrelated, the Trey Burke handles thing is tough. I think he has the best handle on the ball, but he really struggles to beat his man off the dribble, so it really depends on what you’re looking for when ranking best handles.
0- Posted on: Sat, 05/04/2013 - 7:59am #768765
rocketdan9Participantyup. Same with MCW. Handles are good , but sometimes they just can’t get past guys guarding them.
Mcollum though not exceptionally quick to blow by guys consistently, mesmerizes them, confuses them, gets them going in 5 directions and then can go where he wants to. And he doesn’t lose the ball either.
Oliadipo can flat out blow by guys. But i’ve seen enough times if he faces a smart defender, who beats him to his spot, he will just run into them. Its like 0 or 1 switch, there is very little crafty/shiftyness.

I don’t know where would rate Saric among others, but so far his best games in tournamets were always in finals of some championships. And recently he scored game winner 1 sec to go in Croatian championship
