Philadelphia and Detroit discussed a deal that would have sent Tayshaun Prince to Philadelphia along with Charlie Villanueva and the Pistons’ seventh pick in the draft for Elton Brand and the Sixers’ second pick. Collins and the Sixers, however, wanted more in return.

what do you think about this

They Love Turner Too…I hope it wasn’t a case of being too greedy with 7th they could have got Henry and let Prince expire with Kapono and Green…maybe taking on Charlie V wasn’t what they wanted …They would have been loaded at SF…Iggy,Thad,Prince,Nocioni and Henry or George with 7th pick…A 3 way with Prince and another team taking him and giving us a Center…How about This one

Prince, Villanueva and 7th to Philly for Brand and 2nd Pick… Then Trade Prince and Lou Williams for Ty Chandler, Gerald Henderson and D.J Augustine…

Prince/Villanueva are in no way 5 picks improvement for Brand… Philly would be better off just taking Turner

That’s why I would have just Called the Bobcats and swapped Ty Prince,Lou Will and Charlie V. for Ty Chandler, Gerald Henderson and D.J Augustine

Why would you think the Bobcats will trade their best player for a bunch of awful contracts

But getting rid of Brand would have been huge…getting Henry The 2nd best shooting guard in the Draft…Would be a good move…Henry is a better Shooter and would fill a role nicely…We would have to 3 way Prince,Charlie and lou Will for Ty Chandler, Henderson and D.J Augustine….we’d get depth at evry position and lose every long term Contract except Iggy’s…The core would be …..

    Holiday-Augustine
Henry-Henderson(Philly Native -Meeks and Green* Expiring
Iggy-Thad-Nocioni(Heard he wants to go bcak to Europe) Kapono* Expiring
    M16-J.Smith
    Hawes-Chandler * Expiring…

Thats a young and talented team with cap relief coming to the of 22 to 30 Million if Nocioni goes back to Spain…

But repeat I do want Turner…I’d love to keep him…I don’t know what the team will do???

What if detroit trades Prince for Dalembert,

    Udrih – Warren (Pick)
    Tyreke – Garcia
    Prince – Casspri / Greene
    Thompson – Landry
Cousins – Brad Miller (free agent)

    Detroit

Stuckey – Vasquez / Bynum (if he returns)
    Hamilton – Gordon
    Jerebko – Daye / Summers
    Monroe – Charlie V
    Smmie D – Maxiel / Wallace

Why dump one bad contract for 2 more bad contracts? On top of that you ll be give up the best player in the deal in Evan Turnrer. He can to spark your franchise. It’s be the best coaching decision he ever made. Bravo Doug!!!!

Hehe, looks like they are just swapping toxic contracts to me. I think the Pistons would have gotten the better end of that deal though, not sure how big Villanueva’s contract is

6ers are stupid not to take this deal. Brand’s contract is hurting this team. Prince contract is coming off the books soon and Villuenueva can be solid off the bench. Turner is not even really needed for Philly. They have Iggy Holiday, Thad Young. They just traded Dalembert. They need some front court help or a perimeter shooter and play Igg at the 3 spot. They could grab Henry or George with Pistons pick and be done with Brand’s contract.

Throw in Stuckey if you have to. Throw in Jerebko. Throw in whatever it takes. Elton Brand needs a change of scenery and Charlie V didn’t really fit either, so I feel okay on that end for both teams. The Pistons need a difference maker like Turner more than anyone, and if the possibility is there nothing should be too much.
