Lotto StudParticipantAs Nets fan I am so f*cked up about the lotto situation. I swear it’s the curse of the Jersey “Devil”, but anyway who do we select with the 3rd overall pick (Cousins/Favors) & why????????
Something tells me we’re going with Favors even though I want Cousins due to the fact Wall is not an option.

sheltwon3ParticipantFavors may wind up being the better fit for NJ anyway and they can sign a shooting guard and they should have a solid starting 5 with money leftover. I wonder if they could wait and see if they can get Melo after this year.

aarondsonixfanParticipantI agree. I think that Favors will fit nicely with Brook Lopez. The only other choice imo would be Wes Johnson, who i think can play both the 2 and the 3 because of his size, and he could be a major scorer for that team.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantMaybe Philly will take Cousins instead of Turner and Evan Turner will fall into the Nets lap at #3.

the27guyParticipantI’ve heard a bunch of people saying that Cousins isn’t a good fit in NJ, but I don’t buy it. The idea that Lopez and Cousins couldn’t play together I feel is wrong. Lopez is not a physically dominating guy, while Cousins is.That could be a tremendously gifted defensive and rebounding front line.

IndianaBasketballParticipantFavors is clearly the right pick. It’s not hard to see that he’d compliment Lopez damn near perfectly.

CodySLCParticipantDamn what else is going to go wrong in NJ? Derrick Favors in all likely hood. Wes Johnson is a possibility though.

GrandmamaParticipantClearly Favors is the pick for the Nets, they can’t be running two seven foot centers.

MrAnalystInitially, I think they will think Favors, because he would fit Lopez really nice. But after workouts, and they see how much better Cousins is then him and see that Lopez might be the one complimenting Cousins, instead of Favors complementing Lopez. Prospects like Cousins don’t come around often…

Lotto StudParticipantWith Cousins & Lopez down low they could end up being the next “Twin Towers” ala Duncan/Robinson.

MrAnalyst“lopez isnt physically imposing?..i know he has skills but have you watched him?..he bangs as well as hits the lil jumper”
Way to make a doofus out of yourself buddy. Lopez physically imposing? With his 49% fg shooting and his hearty 8 rebs a game??? Lopez is good, don’t get me wrong, but physically imposing he is not. He has a nice J for a center, but he is no banger by any means. Cousins would eat him up in the physically imposing category. Nice one, doucher…

bobbybParticipantThese days in the NBA you need a PF who can step out because there are more and more outside shooting PF’s. So Cousins is a bad idea. Besides he has the worst attitude and work ethic. I see him being compared to eddy curry. When was the last time you see low character players succeed?

BlueLacesParticipantI think the Nets need to take Favors with their number three pick. Brook Lopez is a stud, he averaged nearly 19, 9 and 2 on the one of the worst teams the NBA has ever seen while constantly receiving double teams. Cousins does not compliment him well, he needs too much space to operate. Also, you can’t compare these two to Robsinson, who was at the tail-end of his career, and Duncan. The Nets have a ton of cap room to fill holes, not to mention they are moving to Brooklyn and still have Devin Harris who is a year removed from an all-star game with a great amount of players who are better suited coming off the bench rather than starting.

WizardofOzParticipantIt depends on who’s a better fit with Brook Lopez, and I think Favors is the better fit with Lopez so I think that they choose Favors.

BradfomsParticipantI don’t like Favors at 3, I just haven’t bought into him yet, I don’t think he offers anything offensively, not right away anyways. Although with Lopez, Harris, and hopefully a decent free agent coming in, he probably won’t have to do much but block shots and hit the boards, so I guess he could fit well in NJ. Ha, throughout my own post I changed my mind, funny how that happens…

Lodzio20ParticipantThe sould take Cousins!!!!Favors is nothing…he’s overrated!!

ball4life66ParticipantBradforms his offensive skills are not as bad as you think. He will make an impact right away offensively and defensively and he will only get better.
Lodzio20 you obviously have no idea what you’re talking about.
