What does everyone think of his game and potential?
huge kid, just huge i believe he is legit 7'2 and pretty long for a white guy too..
and pretty skilled..and pretty mobile..
so "pretty" prospect overall lol.. top10 no doubt, top5 possibly, personally i'd take him over Zeller
Guys offensive game is so smooth, hes no slouch on defense either; he's also one of the fastest centers I have ever watched. Being a legit 7'1-7'2 with his all around game he would be great on a team like OKC
Reminds me of a young Zydrunas Ilgauskas
I don't think Ilgauskas had that kind of athleticism.
lets put it this way, im not sayin len has a legit chance to go 1 in the draft but he is def better than zeller IMO
Much tougher too
I think Len has a legit chance at going number one in this based on physical tools, potential, production, and age.
If he starts putting together some 20 and 10 games with 2 blocks you could be looking at the first pick.
Best big in the draft.
Oh ok, thanks. Some interesting takes. I only saw him play once, but I've heard that he can't really defend bigs at the NBA level. But given his build, the strength should come.
He's this year's Meyers Leonard, although Len is a little more advance offensively.
I think Alex Len's potential is a prime time rich man's Primoz Brezec.
- 7'1", smooth traditional center with a decent jumper.
I'd still like to see Len get after it a little more on defense and show that nastiness that separates good centers from franchise changing centers.
He had one good game against a Kentucky team people didn't yet realize was far from the name brand and has been giving up big games all year, and the perception of that performance still carries weight. He isn't particularly good in the post, has poor hands, and fouls too much. Since the start of ACC play, he is below 50 percent from the field. He is a long way from being ready for the NBA.
Do you just completely not like him? Haha
You told is what you don't like about him, so tell us what you do like. I know you can state all kinda of facts and numbers but what do you like? Who does he remind you of? Where would you take him in this draft?

He is a legitimate 7-footer who once I get past him being an awkward runner is someone who moves reasonably well. He is certainly someone to watch to see how he progresses, but that can be said of a good number of guys who are not receiving high lottery buzz. Just the other night, he had 4-5 inches on C.J. Leslie and Richard Howell and Maryland could not run an offense through him.
Who does he remind you of?
Maybe a younger, taller, skinnier Gustavo Ayon or a younger, taller, skinnier Timofey Mozgov. Physically, he looks like Meyers Leonard, but Leonard is a much smoother in his movement and play.
Where would you take him in this draft?
It depends on the team. I don't think he can really help a team next year.
A guy of his size would have most value as a defensive stopper but unless he is the next Mutombo, he'd need a decent offensive game to be taken in the top 3 as teams look for two way players at the top of the draft. He runs the floor well so would have the good tools for an offensive game and his profile on this site says he has a nice touch around the basket. If he can develop some sort of mid range game, his offence would be very useful as he'll get tip-ins, dunks etc which his team mates would feed him to keep him interested and as a reward for his defensive work.
You don't expect 7ft plus C's to have point ball carrying skills, but they need a good basket ball IQ to position themselves to get rebounds as in the NBA you just cannot rely on size to get you to the ball and they need to be able to do the simple things right like when you get the defensive rebound you look to maybe launch a quick offensive break or at the very least give your PG a good pass so they can run the next offensive move.
I would have Len inside my top 8 at the moment with an upside of top 3 and downside of late lottery.
I see nothing keeping him from developing into a Nik Vucevic type player who is really starting to come on. Im not so sure Vooch isnt better then JV. Man the Sixers got a steal and traded him away...smh...
But on a side note, I always trust Euro bigs to develop.
