cryan03ParticipantJust saw that Alex Len will have surgery to stabilize a stress fracture in his ankle and will be out 4-6 months. So with this injury I assume he won’t be able to performance in any workouts with team and perform in the combine.
How far do you guys think he drop? I saw some people say he should be in consideration for the #1 pick. Is he still a lottery pick? Does he drop to the Thunder in later part of the lottery now?
What do you guys think?

News release comes from Sports International Group that Maryland’s Alex Len (likely lottery) had surgery for a stress fracture in left ankle0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/03/2013 - 9:29am #768422
Lafferty DanielParticipantI was really looking forward to hearing about Len in the pre-draft workouts since I didn’t get to watch a lot of Maryland games this year. Terrible timing, but I don’t think his stock will drop too much.

DolanCareParticipantLen definitely would have risen during workouts IMO. His shooting and footwork would have been a showcase in an empty gym.
I’m a huge Len supporter, and the surgery will unfortunately limit how high he may go. But ultimately, it’s not the worst thing in the world. There is plenty of game tape on him last year, and as Forte IV said, there’s no way he drops past OKC.

For_Never_EverParticipantI’m in the minority then, because I think he is going drop to late first round or early second.

For_Never_EverParticipantStress fractures is a very scary injury, because it seems like once you get one you’ll keep getting them especially for active 7ft athletes. GM’s are going to be afraid to take a chance on him.

TheLastWordParticipantDoubt he goes in the lottery now, there wasn’t that much separation between him and the glut of other bigs. A 6 month stress fracture is a severe one. To have it so young and for a big man….high risk anyway you try and slice it.
