SpinCycle88ParticipantI was just sitting here watching that Kyrie Irving commercial where he’s dressed as an old man and just schools everybody on the court, and I couldn’t help but think about some of the players in the league who have played well beyond their prime, whether in the NBA or overseas, and yet still put in work. So I have to ask, who would you have on your All Time Old Geezer team???? And when I say "old," I mean 36+ years.
Just to get the ball rolling, I’ll throw out a few:
Jason Kidd
Michael Jordan (of course)
Dominique Wilkins
Karl Malone
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantI like that first team but here are my choices:
PG Steve Nash: At 37 years of age he’s still one of the best (if not the best) passers and shooters in the league. 12.5 PPG, 10.7 APG, 53 FG%, 39 3PT% and 89 FT% this past year.
Honorable mention: John Stockton. Averaged 10.8 PPG, 7.7 APG and 1.7 APG at the age of 40.
SG Michael Jordan: Was still the best player in the world when he retired for the 2nd time at the age of 34. Came back rusty at the age of 38 and was still good enough to have a couple more seasons with 20+ ppg.
SG Kobe Bryant: Might be strange to put someone on this list who is just 33 but Kobe’s been playing in the NBA since he was 18 so he has alot of wear on his body and averaging 27.9 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 4.6 APG and 38.5 MPG is remarkable for a 33 year old with over 1300 (playoff and regular season) games under his belt.
SF: Alex English: Retired at the age of 37 which isn’t crazy but swingmen traditionaly have a harder time with longevity and English is famous for peaking after his 30s, averaged 26.5 PPG and 4.7 APG in 36.5 MPG at the age of 35.
Honorable Mention: Grant Hill, a bit of a surprise selection but Hill, who could’ve been one of the best SFs ever, has turned into one of the better defenders in the league in his late 30s. Still starts and contributes in more than just the boxscore at the age of 39.
PF Karl Malone: Amazing physical speciman won an MVP at the age of 35 and averaged 22.4 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 4.3 APG and 1.9 SPG in an incredible 38 MPG at the age of 38.
Honorable Mention: Dennis Rodman, another physical speciman who averaged 15 RPG at the age of 36!
C Kareem Abdul Jabbar: Averaged 23.4 PPG on 56.4 FG% at the age of 38.
Honorable Mention: Robert Parish, the Chief played until he was 43, started until he was 40, played in the All-Star game at the age of 37 and had one of his best years ever at the age of 35 putting up 18.6 PPG, 12.5 RPG, 1.5 BPG, 1 SPG and 57 FG%.

omphalosParticipantAnyone who doesn’t put Jordan as their SG without some sort of caveat (e.g. people who are still playing) should be negged into oblivion for being deliberately stupid to seem "different".
So if we are basing it off their production after they were 36 I’ll go with…
PG; Steve Nash
SG; Michael Jordan
SF; Grant Hill
PF; Karl Malone
C; Kareem Abdul-Jabbar0 - Posted on: Tue, 11/06/2012 - 2:37pm #726509

SG;Michael Jordan and this player for this player SG Jim Pollard
F.F(S.F.); Clyde Drexler and this player for this player F.F. George Yardley
P.F; Karl Malone and this player for Fred Gwynn(A actor too..)
C; Hakeem Olajuwon and this player for this player C George Mikan
Other Substitution for each Positions Versitile player Joe Fulks
