How good will he be without Nash? I mean how many points of Amare’s were given off a Nash dime? I think that he can still put up numbers but he needs a pass first point guard. The brightside is that he’s reunited with his old coach and can go right in to a style he is used to. Thoughts?

I think he has all the talent to be an all star, with or without Steve Nash at the point. He can hit a jumper more consistently, he can take his man off the dribble, and he fits with the system down there. Too me its really going to come down to his mental make up. How is he going to handle the NY media after a bad game. If the Knicks don’t sign anyone else he’ll end up being the guy here, and we all know how rough and ruthless NY media is, in fact its known and made famous for blowing things out of proportion at times. To me if he handles that well, if he’s smart enough not to let what the papers say effect his game, he’l do just fine, Nash or not

or gets lost in New York. He has to put up 30 points and 10 rebounds for Knicks to be a playoff team

I think he will put up better numbers this year because he is their #1 option. He will be an All star I think but the Knicks will be a lottery team.

Could lead the league in scoring with him combination of a high tempo, no other options, and selfishness.

If they even sign a versitle guy like Mike Miller they can get into the playoffs…people forget the East ain’t as competitive as it used to be, plus the Knicks play in what can be said to be the worst division in basketball.

I think you guys are still to hih on him I f Parker doesn’t sign he has no consistant, reliable point guard. If a bigman doesn’t have a guard who can ge him the ball well he’s simply not gonna score.

If Lee could get like 20 and 12 for the Knicks and be an All Star, Amare who is an All Star should have no trouble putting up points plus the Knicks can still get more people. It is still early

I think he’ll put up numbers and do his thing, and the Knicks ran the pick and roll efficiently. All you’re really doing is replacing Amare with Lee. However, he’ll soon realize how good he had it with Steve Nash. I understand the Knicks is not a complete team yet but, besides Gallo who’s gonna spread the floor? And the Knicks have yet to add a PG. Douglas is ok but, I’m still not totally sold on him as a starting PG.

They will be in the playoff race but are in no way a guarantee at making the playoffs next year. As of now I think they miss it.

Please dont sat say he put up 20 and 9 with Marbury like Nash has always been better than Marbury. That year Marbury averaged 20 and 8 while Nash averaged 14 and 8 so dont act like Marbury was some scrub. Before the suns started playing that great style of ball anybody would have taken Marbury over Nash

The Knicks clearly need another guy to be successful in the East, so i was thinking, why do the knicks TRUELY need lebron? imagine this…. The warriors dont need monta ellis so the knicks go out and trade for him, why not trade wilson chandler for him? (if you can think of somethign better u tell me) then we sign mike miller, and brendan haywood…
The knicks startign 5 would be
    Ellis
    Miller
    Gallo
    Amare
    Haywood
I know thats not a championship team but it is a solid plan B and good start to a future

    Any ideas?

Ellis is a great player and can play PG he was just relied upon to score in GS
Gallo is gonna get better each year
    STAT is very dominate inside

add Mike Miller, and Haywood(1year deal) then in 2011 if he opts out get Carmelo and maybe JR, Carl Landry and Chandler plus with their pick in 2011 they can draft another PG in Kemba Walker who I like for New York and they have a squad

Bigs- Stoudemire, Landry, Chandler Wings- Anthony, Gallinari, Smith, Miller PG’s- Ellis and Walker

    Solid 9 Man rotation
