Keep in mind, teams might be weary of Amare because he has an uninsurable contract. People think that the Suns were "cheap". The Suns actually offered Amare more money than the Knicks. However they had to put minutes clauses in the 4th and 5th year. He didnt want to go for that. I dont blame him, this is a business.

I would love to see Amare on the Sixers. I think playing in that system where the ball doesn’t stick and it’s a very unselfish he would thrive again. Playing alongside Jrue, Evan and Lou would do him wonders on setting him up to start attacking the rim again in pick and rolls getting and-ones and becoming an offensive terror again. Unfortunately the players that the Sixers would be willing to trade aren’t going to help the Knicks anymore than what Amare is currently doing. Would love to see it, doubt it happens.

I think Philly should give this current group at least one more chance in the post-season before making any major trades. They could be a threat to get to the ECF with the nagging injuries facing a lot of the Eastern Conference powerhouses.

Also, Amare doesn’t fit with their youth movement. No deal for me.

He can play run and rebound but they need someone that can grind and bully on the block and also post up a big man. That person is EB right now but he is undersized and he is also shooting jumpers vs taking it in the middle ( even though his J is good for a big man)…plus Amare’s contract number are too big it would hinder them in the future. not to mention he could be Chris Webber pt 2…let him and Carmello kill NY salary cap let Iggy and EB contract expire …bring Iggy back at a reduced number and get a star. with him added to the team it makes them no better than Chicago, the Heat, Orlando and  Boston 50/50 because of Garnet, Pierce and Rondo….They would be a step abve the Hawks …they are a notch below because of Joe Johnson.
