He made an extremely mature decision by picking to go to uconn this year. He goes to a school were they normally get the most out of their recruits. Also there is a need for him to start for uconn and he will fit in well with current team. The only other team that would have made since would have been kentucky but with there logjam of talent uconn was right choice. He went against the prep school route wich would have wasted another year of development. Hopefully he ends uP better than Perry Jones and BJ Mullens and Deandre Jordan.

I wasnt calling Perry Jones a bust i was saying hopefully Drummond has a better season than previous superhyped bigmen had. Perry Jones had decent season last year but not to the level everyone was expecting.

i agree that drummond made the right decision in going to uconn, but perry jones made an arguably better one by coming back to school.  he struggled to adjust to the collegiate level of competition and returned to refine his skills.  i’m cheering for him to hopefully realize his potential this year, and become a part of what appears will be a legendary draft class.  the sad fact is that drummond has so much hype right now that he didn’t really need college ball to become the #1 overall pick next year.  but he didn’t take the easy way out, and chose to play against the best he can play against this season.  both should be applauded.  i just feel bad for that bradley kid that has to give up his scholarship now so drummond can play lol

He does fall into the Jones catagory when it comes to his motor. When he plays hard he easily dominates but he doesn’t do it enough(more than Perry at the same stage) I think Calhoun will get him to play harder, he will have to because the Big East is known to eat up freshmen bigs who don’t play hard

Jordan is 22 years old and has made leaps and bounds since Texas A&M and could potentially be a top 5 center in the next few years (Not saying that much) so it’s not fair to put him and Mullens together, and Perry Jones is still in school.

Jordan will not be a top 5 center one day. You’re getting his athletic ability confused with skill which he lacks alot of. His offensive footwork and shot is awful and the only time he scores is 2 feet from the basket when he has his feet together
