DeRozen couldn’t shoot at all coming out of school. He was a 16% 3 point shooter in college. Wiggins shot almost 20% higher. Wiggins has an outside shot, which is an entirely new dimension to his arsenal that DeRozen doesn’t have. DeMarr is shooting 30% from 3 this year and it’s his career high…I bet Andrew tops that as a rookie.

I think he’s is somewhere between the best and 3rd best player available in the draft. So it is with love that I say dude looks like Kermit the Frog. That’s who he reminds me of.

He’s at worst like jimmy butler. Elite athleticism allows him to be a lockdown defender while he can play the 2 or 3. I feel no matter who has the #1 pick you have to take wiggins.

Most people don’t know that Kermit actually had a couple of D1 scholarships before he knocked up the pig.

But got negged… I’m actually the first person to say Rudy Gay and got negged… THEN this site compares him to Rudy!!!!!! How about that? LOL… O, I don’t think Wiggins “plays” like Rudy, just have the same (I mean exactly the same) demeanor Rudy had in college… This is, plays like a star and then disappears for long stretches…

I’ll say this though… I can’t think of a great comparison for Andrew… The last player I couldn’t quite point my finger on who they play like is KD… The one before that is LeBron… Doesn’t mean much (because who am I?), but great company to be in…

He needs to go to a team that can maximize his talents, both on offense and defense.  If so, he can reach the Dr. J or Clyde Drexler or Dominique Wilkins level (my first upside comparisons).  If not, he might zone out and fail to maximize his talent.  Then you are looking at a lower baseline, perhaps even a Stacey Augmon or a Richard Dumas.

It depends though on what kind of guy he wants to be.  Does he want to lead a team and be one of the faces of the NBA (like Dr. J) or does he want to be a high level role player like Iggy, or an above average gunner like Rudy Gay.

If he works hard he could be much like Grant Hill pre-injury (Detroit days)

People only think of Rudy Gay now, but they forget the tantilizing potential he had coming out of UCONN, I think this site compared him to Scottie Pippen. He averaged 14 points, 2 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, and a steal on 46% shooting and 38% from three coming out of college. He was supposed to be a great all around player with all of the tools like people are saying Wiggins is. He was questioned because of his "will/desire" like Wiggins is. If you’re comparing him to Rudy Gay now, it is a horrible comparison, but if you compare him to Rudy Gay the prospect coming out of college, I think it’s perfect. I also think Rudy played on a more talented team than this Kansas one Wiggins was on back then also.

Remember Marcus Williams, Hilton Armstrong, Josh Boone, Craig Austrie, Rashad Anderson, Denham Brown? Those names sound like nothing now, but back in the day, it was crazy, The first 3 guys were 1st round picks.

     What about Dominique Wilkins?

edit: I see someone else also said that.
