If Gasol continues not to work out when Nash returns, and the Lakers decides to move him, what about the deal below?

    Nets Get- Gasol
    Lakers Get-Blatche, Humphries, Brooks, Teletovic

Nets- get Gasol to pair with Lopez, instantly giving them the best frontcourt in the East. Gasol and Lopez will compliment each other well, since Lopez seems to prefer to play outside of the post. Reggie Evans meshes with both sarters and can back up both bigs. When he comes in for Lopez, Gasol can easily move to the 5.

Lakers- If they move Gasol, they want a stretch 4. Theyve been rumored to BArgnani and Iilyasova. WIth the way Blatche has been playing this year, I think this deal works out better for them. Blatche and Humphries can both shoot the outside jumper therefore not needing to clog up the post. They are also both good rebounders, esp Humphries. Blatche may require a lot more money after this year so if he leaves, Lakers also has Teletovic in this deal. He was very good over seas but not working out in Brooklyn. Hes a stretch four and if anyone will get the best out of him, its D’Antoni. Brooks is the icing on the cake to make the Lakers jump at this deal. Scorer off the bench who can learn a lot from Kobe.

Have to say I kind of like the deal. Not a flashy trade but Lakers get a rebound monster to pair with a rebound monster.

Good trade, but both Howard and humphries dont have alot of range, it would be poor floor spacing in Dantonis system

If this included a defensive stopper instead of teletovic it would make sense for the lakers to do it. Then they would get 3 solid bench players and a solid starter. This is one of the better trades people have put of for a pau gasol trade.

The Nets could absorb Gasol’s contract, don’t think that Nets would want to give up both Blatche and Brooks maybe Stackhouse or a future first rounder. Also Humphries expires in 2014, so Lakers retain cap space which I think is what they want.

Also I wonder if the Josh Smith rumours could start again, he’s out of contract this summer and getting Gasol could appeal to the Hawks if Smith might indicate he will walk away. This would all depend on what vibes Smith was giving as regards a contract extension. Someone like Pachulia or Petro could be used to balance the trade off easily.
