Any Thoughts On Oak Hill's Troy Williams??
Like his explosiveness, think hes gonna be bigtime down the road . Physically all the tools seem to be there as they say. He also seems like a attacker who can create his own shoyt with ease, As he get stronger in college and the jumper starts dropping consistantly I think hell be ready to makr an impact in the L.
He looks nice! Needs to tighten up his handle, not be so flashy (wasted energy/time), a bit reckless, and concerned with making the highlight play or no look pass, and more focused on the right play. Saying that he is a really good passer, and willing. Would like to fix some things about his shot, but it is a pretty nice stroke. Above the rim athlete who puts down some monster dunks including put backs, but also displays a a good floater, and nice touch around the rim. Athleticism and aggressiveness make for a deadly weak side defender and shot blocker. Has a pretty good feel for the game overall I feel and could see him being a really good scorer despite his rawness. One and done. I see a smaller, more explosive but not as smooth, more effort, reckless version of Carmelo Anthony. 2014 Draft is amazing!
He's very lanky and reminds me of Thaddeus Young at the same stage.
I just hope he gets a lot of minutes at IU
Thaddeus Young????????... Not a chance.

I've watched Troy mature from a reckless player to easily one of the best athletes/players in his class. In May he was rated #6 in his class by ESPN and was literally 30 minutes away from committing to Kentucky before having a sudden change of heart. EYBL play started and Williams was suspect and obviously caught up in his own hype. ESPN then paid him back by dropping him to 42 and I watched Troy get his game back and climb back to 33 currently and sign with Indiana. Now he transferred from Phoebus HS to Oak Hill and is actually being taught how to play basketball and has gotten way better. I think he'll get a chance to go against both Parker and Wiggins this year to prove his worth (Wiggins gave him 32 in the EYBL tourney)
Anybody got any thoughts on him? Is he McDonalds AA material? I think this kid has star potential and should be in the MD and Jordan game just off of entertainment value. Him and Noah could be an unstoppable combo for 2 years for Indiana.
Here's some game footage of him from this past weekend against Keenan HS, a SC HS powerhouse.

Yes it's a full game but he went off first half so you don't have to watch much. Wish his just inside the free throw line dunk between two defenders from the Saturday game was on youtube somewhere!
