JNixonParticipantI want the hometown Hawks to get Flynn..he was at Game 3 when I went, on the floor with T.I. and Jeezy and all the celebrities so the franchise has reached out 2 him at leats…I dont think he will fall in their laps and whether or not they will be willing to trade up to get him (I think he will be an all-star caliber pg..so he’d be worth it) is up 2 the Hawks. They need to look for a PG if they cant get flynn they should just gamble on BJ Mullin

pistonsmanParticipantWell the Hawks need to first need to make a trade shake things up a little. They could trade flip murray for a decent role player or trade Murray and Bibby to the Nets for D. Harris and Antoinie Wright. Then like iguodala9 said DRAFT JONNY FLYNN. (i meant to put that in all capitals)

QHaynes123Jonny Flynn is not going past the suns at 14. I think the most realistic PG there is either Lawson or Teague.

blackflash234ParticipantShould they trade the pick to Portland for jerryd bayless if they don’t get a worthy point guard or should they trade the pick for a veteran or a future first? I’m pretty shure Portland would accept such a trade because they have such a talented team and jerryd bayless really has no future there even though i think he deserves to start on that team. He’s going to be as talented as russell westbrook and derrick rose. You just wait and see.

MelParticipantI really liked Bayless too. I saw him play a lot last year with League Pass. He played garbage time for the most part. He’s not a point AT ALL at this stage in his young career. All he knows is attack, and playing for Mike Woodson, he Wont play. He LOVES his veterans b/c he doesnt know how to develop young talent. Acie Law just wastes away on the bench, when he is the quickest player on that team. I like Teague personally, but the only way the Hawks get a young point guard is if they fire Woodson

Dgtool2ParticipantWoodson’s job shouldn’t be in jeopardy, so that means Atlanta won’t be drafting a point guard. Pistonsman, Antoine Wright is on the Mavericks, not the Nets, so your trade wouldn’t work. Maybe if the Nets gave up someone Sean Williams or Josh Boone then that would work. But my opinion the Hawks need some bigs. So if the Hawks keep their pick DeJuan Blair, Tyler Hansbrough, or even local G-Tech Gani Lawal would work for the spot the Hawks are drafting at. If the Hawks do manage to somehow draft a point guard Teague or Patrick Mills will probably be the only point guards left on the board.

rvirsalParticipantharris is playing terrific basketball for the nets. no way they trade him. atlanta needs a pg now (with bibby expiring and aging). law isn’t ready yet (unlike what most of the “experts” said). lawson, teague and jrue would still be available when they take their pick. jrue has the most upside in those 3. he’s not cp3 but if he’s just a poorman’s version of cp3 (some people are saying) he’d be a good fit for the hawks in years to come.

sheltwon3ParticipantBibby still has some good years left in him at a good price and also you have
Andre Miller who is available and would be more helpful to Atlanta than Bibby is and also they can trade some players that they have no use for and Josh Childress for more depth in the front court.0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/15/2009 - 10:09am #150387
JNixonParticipantJerryd Bayless would be a good trade option…I like Bayless alot even though I havent watched him play that much

2K_DAVISParticipantno flynn he’s small and didn’t play defense at syracuse, jarred bayless has proven he is no better than acie law, i would prefer eric maynor, my second choice would be a.j price
