jjmass22ParticipantWhat’s your favorite basketball movies of all time. My list is in no way saying order of greatness just listing my personal favorite movies in order and curious to some of yours. Everyone on here is a different age, and comes from a different area so I’m curious to what some of your Favs are
1 above the rim- big on 2pac,loved the story and basketball footage minus some of the looping bball footage……………………..
2 Hoosiers – just a classic what else can you say about it……………………………………………………………………………………………..
3 whiteman can’t jump- just a good movie, I was/am a baller and I’m white and confess I cannot jump…………………………………
4 he got game- storyline was a bit far fetched but great movie……………….
5 blue chips- with recent talk on NCAA violations in football n bball you can see it’s been a long fight
6 love and basketball-what else is there besides basketball and a girl…….
7 coach Carter- like the story, just a very good movie, good basketball footage, reminded me of highschool again
8 hoop dreams- just a good basketball movie………………………………………
9 glory road- just another good movie…………………………………………………
10 space jam- I was about 3years to old for this movie when it came out, but it’s a movie I can now watch with the kids, plus huge on mjthere’s my list, I know it’s not in order of greatest movies but it’s my personal favorites

jjmass22ParticipantI actually just rented basketball diaries the other day, I do like that movie, but for me I don’t even put it in my basketball category since it actually has little to do with basketball, and the parts they do have looks like it’s the actors first time holding a basketball, I know the movie takes place in the far past but it just doesn’t sell the fact that they are players to me

kingoftheplaygroundParticipantfinding forester had alot to do w/ basketball as well as education. also the baketball that was played during the movie was legit. the actors were really out there balling. on top of everything they played in Madison Square Garden for their “championship game” near the end of the movie…
