festar35ParticipantDo you guys see Ben Gordon being in a Pistons uniform next year? I think he will be but to be honest I prefer that he wasn’t.

butidonthavemoneyHe’s got what? Three years, 35 million dollars left on his contract?
What team would want him? It might have to be a Baron Davis kind of deal, where the team has to package a bad contract with a draft pick or two to get anybody to take him.

marcusfizer21ParticipantIt’s almost hard to trade a guy like Ben Gordon ESPECIALLY when you look at his contract… He is owed $50 Mil until 2014… That’s a huge huge contract considering the fact that he’s very one dimensional and undersized for his position… The Pistons took the risk in signing him and therefore, I can’t see him getting traded for now… The Pistons will just have to bear with him…

TRC1991Participantnot a chance he gets moved, no team wants a 6’2” combo guard who is set to make $11,500,000 this upcoming season

paint intruderParticipantI guess if the Pistons trade Hamilton, Gordon will get more minutes and then he can show us if he still can play like in his old Chi-Town days.

Scottoant93ParticipantImagine if he stayed with the bulls, with the current team intact…wrong decision to go to pistons

esperanzafleet69Participanti hate all these people hatin on ben gordon… his per minute stats are as good as theyve been when he was on the bulls… the only reason he seems like hes doing bad is because hes being played almost 10 minutes less than when he was on the bulls… i guarentee once rip is off the team, and gordon gets consistant minutes, all of you will say he had a huge comeback…

leppyParticipantsucks. he always has. great college player thats it. people fell in love with his scoring and jumping ability. When you score 30 points and the guy your guarding scores 31 you had a bad night. He nevers brings anything else to the table. hinrich has always been twice the player of him. can shoot and defend two of the most important aspects of a great role player. look how easily atlanta took care of orlando. the only reason the bulls got rid of hinrich is because they could get brewer and korver instead.. atlanta was a perfect destination for hinrich bulls are lucky the will miss the series

FastAndFuriousParticipantI agree, Ben Gordon may bounce back when he gets consitent minutes, but he will always be one-dimensional, he’s good but not that good, he play’s no defense at all, and is severly undersized for a 2-guard.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantDetroit needs a point guard. Ben Gordon needs a point to get him the ball in position to score (ala Chris Duhon and Derrick Rose). Charlie Villanueva is the same way. He can fill it up, but they need someone to get it to him in the right spots. I’d throw Austin Daye into that category as well. It is not healthy when the team’s best passers were Tracy McGrady and Greg Monroe. If a team is going to have Gordon and Villanueva, they need a real point guard not Rodney Stuckey.

llperezDumars sucks. The pistons have some solid players, but they don’t mesh well together. Eventually if you are in the lottery enough times and throw enough money around you are bound to get some talent and become competitive.

kngojcParticipantDoes anyone think it would be a good idea to see the Bulls get Gordon back? Maybe trade Korver and Brewer to make the salaries match and maybe one other player with a smaller contract. But to see Ben Gordon, who carried the Bulls for the most part in those two playoff series that went to 7 games, don’t you think it would be pretty scary to see Gordon coming back and having two really great guards in your back court to solve that SG issue? The only worry is that he might get too ball dominant and think he can still lead the team like he used to. But since this is Rose’s team now, I think that if he did come over, he would be a great role player and a second scoring option along with Deng and Boozer (who haven’t filled it up much offensively). Anyone think that it could be a good trade?

aamir543ParticipantI don’t see him getting moved unless Detroit trades their unprotected 1 this year, and next year. It might be unlikely, but would Clevlend budge at Jmaison (2 years 13 mil) for Gordon (4 years 11mil), and their unprotected number 1 and if add Maxiell, then the Pistons can take any of the Cavs young guys they want. I know it is a steep price in a week draft, but possibly Derrick Williams/ Kyrie, Kanter/Donatas/Vesly, and Thompson/ Walker/Burks. If the Cavs get Williams, Knight, and Thompson, they have three young promising players. And although their cap situation will be screwed up it is a good way to start.

Malik-UniversalParticipantgordon isnt getting very consistent minutes in detroit and like BTPH, the pistons dont have a true PG…
his role seems wierd
we got guys who can score, but no chemistry what so ever, dumars needs a reality check
