J-CHRISTOSParticipantI Don’t believe how people get on the Lebron wagon, for a guy who hasn’t accomplish anything and he’s one of the best player ever, you still believe in the tooth fairy don’t you

Knicksboy34Participantno. Im not putting LBJ in there yet because he could break a leg right now and i think he would not go in the HOF
how about all Basketball
PG- Magic Johnson
SG-Micheal Jordan
SF-Larry Bird
PF-Tim Duncan
C- Wilt Chamberlain0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/04/2009 - 6:20pm #175945
Jimmy BlazeParticipantA guy who hasn’t accomplished anything?
No1 Pick at age 18 (straight from high school)
Rookie of the Year (2004)
3x All-NBA First Team (2006, 2008, 2009)
2x All-NBA Second Team (2005, 2007)
NBA MVP (2009)basically all he hasnt achieved is a championship. And he’s even come pretty close at that with a very average team compared to most of “the greats”. Im not saying he would be in my All Time team either but i can certainly see how you would get on “the Lebron wagon”.

J-CHRISTOSParticipantYou at least have to win more than one championship to be considered one of the best, and can’t assume he’ll win.I know this is a different sport, but perfect example Dan Marino put up crazy numbers had the arm and everything, people thought he would go right back to superbowl after they lose, but never did Marino still got records that stand today, all I’m saying is that you never know

maravich44ParticipantWhen Lebron’s career is over, he might be among the top 5 of all time. He’d have to play at or above current level for at least 5 more years to be worthy of such an honor whether his team wins a crown or not. That point is also debateable, but IMO, a player can’t control the rest of his team, so he could be considered even without ring.
Jordan, Magic, Bird, Duncan and Chamerlain are best by position, though not best 5 players of all time. I would replace Duncan with Jabbar for top 5. Russell would be hard to argue with if championships were a major criteria.

pointguardfunParticipantmy bad, i think shaq dominated more than kareem. i put bill russell because he’s the biggest winner in NBA history, had 13 championships if i’m not mistaken, 11 as a player and 2 as a coach. that’s why i put him over wilt. but it’s shaq over kareem. MY BAD.
