RickyRubio9ParticipantDurant, Green, and Westbrook. 🙂 but…if I had to pick of these two…you have to go with Gordon, Griffin, and Thorton. They got a Two-Man Combo with a compliment. Memphis has the better backcourt though. Griffin gives Clippers and edge since he’s a big.

rvirsalParticipanti like the clips trio better (griffin’s like a whiter lebron). but, i think mayo could be something special in the future, let’s just wait and see.

zruc57ParticipantAl will be 26 year’s old season hard to still call him young, hes basically in his prime. Gay is younger and already better than Thorton at SF. I think Mayo is slightly better than than Gordon at SG. I’d say they have about the same maximum scoring potential, but Mayo’s D puts him a little past Gordon. ( gordon is a little soft on D). So then you have a pg vs a pf in rubio and Griffin. Obviously, Griffin is the best player out of any of these guys and we know what to expect from him. Big men usually are more difficult to come by than SGs.
It comes down to your opinion of Ricky Rubio on which trio is better. I’ve heard people call him felipe lopez and I’ve heard him called Steve Nash and a future 8 time all-star. If Rubio becomes an all-star or very good player then I would take the grizzlies. if he is nothing more than a solid starter, then the clippers win.

wowthisisneatParticipantHow about OKC Durant Green Westbrook and no.3… Great trio they complement each other very well a slasher a pure scorer/shooter and a do it all man. Durant already among one of the top scorers in the league, Westbrook among top rookies, both dont have ceilings…Green is quickly developing a three point shot. And with whoever they take, they got the best young core in the League hell ya OKC

QHaynes123my pick would be griffin, gordon and thornton. All these guys have great skill sets and could play off each other.

Mr. BasketballParticipantwowthisisneat: why do u think i did not compare them to these trios…

Lil BabeParticipantb/c Rubio would make Gay and Mayo better, especially in transition

DraftGuru09ParticipantI’ll take Durant, Green, and Thabeet over either one of them. You could put in Westbrook over Green, it’s all opinion.

millienstar32Participanti think that the grizzlies should pick rubio because they have marc gasol and marc can become a great big man like his brother and have rubio at the point makes mayo and gay better offensivly, and they should’nt worry about pf because i think that darrel arthur can step up.
thunders should pick thabeet because they dont need a point guard because westbrook had an great season for a rookie plus they got durant and green. with thabeet as centre i think the thunders will become a dangerous young team.

butidonthavemoneyOklahoma City has the best trio.
I’d say the Clippers has a better trio than Memphis. But it’s hard to compare Griffen and Rubio. I think the Grizzlies will be better next year if they take Rubio, but Griffen will probably do more than Rubio. Gordon/Mayo and Thornton/Gay are washes.

Jackyboy6ParticipantThat is the trio of the future. Dont get me wrong, Grizzlies have something special there, but i see teh clippers winning more in the future

billykParticipantWhy are people so high on Thornton??? Yeah he is athletic (like every NBA player), but he shoots too much, has no range, he doesnt rebound and his defense SUCKS….. He has a limited upside considering he is already 25.

butidonthavemoneyI also feel like Thornton is overrated
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/22/2009 - 5:19pm #152427

Mr. BasketballParticipantits not that they are overrating him, its that they don’t think highly of Gay. Gay and thornton are blackhole players. btw, thornton does rebound.

MasrockBlake > Rubio
Gordon = Mayo
Gay > ThorntonSo it’s pretty even. You could argue that Gordon > Mayo or vice versa. It’s been done enough. I say they’re equal until one of them proves that they’re better.

UNC4eva8806ParticipantGriffin, Gordon, and Thornton would have to be the better combo, Seeing that both Rudy and OJ need the ball in their hands to be effective and as you saw last year they both can be real selfish at times and their isn’t two balls on the court so I doubt Ricky can keep them both happy

nthegoodlifeParticipantWTF does that have to do with anything (a whiter LeBron)? Lets see NO and NO!!!
