    Baylor:

Perry Jones- A big-time talent with the scoring potential to be a league-leader in the NBA someday if he puts his mind to it…Can handle the ball well for a 6’10 guy…Possesses decent shooting touch…Can pass the ball well…Has the ability to play on the wing or down low depending on his matchup…Lacks consistent shooting range…Isn’t very polished yet…Not aggressive or tough….Not as dominant as he could be…Has franchise player talent, but I think he’s a 2nd option at best on a good team…Lacks the mentality to be as good as he could be…Reminds me of Rudy Gay

LaceDarius Dunn- 6’4 SG with a good level of strength…One of my 3 favorite players in the nation…Has one the more unorthodox jumpers in the country, but it’s DEADLY….Great spotting up, off the bounce, or off screens…His range is good, and he’s got the ability to pull-up from mid-range…Not a terrible leaper with a head of steam….A little selfish and probably mediocre to below average athletically though…Very dependent on his shot…The zone D Baylor runs makes his D tough to project to the NBA…Still, he’s not very good on D in that zone anyway…Recent run-in with the law puts his NBA future in jeopardy and also could ruin his chance at breaking some Big 12 scoring records…Reminds of Reggie Williams of the Golden State Warriors.

Anthony Jones- I’m expecting a break out…Has every skill and physical tool Perry Jones has…A 6’10 205 SG/SF/PF, who can shoot the deep ball, handle the ball, and he’s not as aggressive as he should be…Very good athlete who will make "wow" plays at times..Very nice touch…Long arms…Has underachieved given his tools and athleticism…No way should he have only put up 6.5 ppg last year…This should be his year to improve…Reminds me of Omri Casspi…Good potential

Quincy Acy- 6’7 235 athletic freak with very long arms…Will try and dunk EVERYTHING at the rim, and usually succeeds…Works hard to get himself shots at the rim…Very strong…Decent rebounder…Can defend SF’s and PF’s, and even C’s in college…His blocks and dunks often change the momentum of games…No skill level really…Not likely to score with his back to the basket or shooting facing up…Has developed into a legit prospect after impressing scouts at Summer camps

Stargell Love- Don’t say I didn’t warn you about him…Love is a 6’1 PG/SG…Very fast with the ball and an explosive athlete…Will be a fan favorite in Waco…Gets to the rim and looks good creating off the bounce…Good in the drive and dish…Not a true PG really….Only OK jump shot…Not very polished in his skill set…Could have an immediate impact at the PG spot for Baylor with his athleticism

    Colorado:

Cory Higgins- People say Alec Burks is the best player on their team, but they are SOOOO wrong….It’s Cory Higgins…Very good mid-range game…Plays a mature game…High IQ…Can make 3’s…Not a very good defender…Below average athlete for NBA standards…Sleeper prospect for 2011

Alec Burks- Athletic, a late-bloomer, and has nice size for a SG. Still, a very overrated prospect. Not a shot-creator, and scored mostly in transition or from loose balls. Shooting is a work in progress. Has defensive potential, but right now he’s pretty weak which limits him. He’s a 2011 or even 2012 prospect to me.

    Iowa State:

Diante Garrett- Interesting prospect. Quick, tall for a PG (6’4), and has nice athleticism and slashing and passing ability….Good handles…Great pick and roll player…Still, his shooting and lack of strength limit him some…He reminds me of Ramon Sessions.

    Kansas:

Marcus Morris- Made nice strides last year…Has the ability to face-up and make shots, and play some with his back to the basket…Alright athlete with nice quickness down low…True mismatch PF…Decent strength…Has alligator arms, which limits him some on D…Plays alot like former KU PF Darrell Arthur

Josh Selby- Athletic, aggressive, strong, and did I say aggressive?…Alot like Steve Francis IMO, and has a flair for the spectacular…Also a good on-ball defender…Ranked as the top HS player in the country by some people…Should slide into Sherron Collins’ role…Looks to score more than distribute…KU will have to deal with some of the empty possessions that comes with playing with an ultra-aggressive player like Selby

Tyshawn Taylor- Intense defender, good athlete with nice quickness and nice size…He’s a PG, but his floor vision and ball-handling are only decent…OK shot, but is very good when left open…Has some character concerns…Similar to Delonte West…

    Kansas State:

Jacob Pullen- Sharp-shooter who is at his best coming off of screens and making jump shots…Dellivers down the stretch…Plays intense and fundamentally sound on-ball defense…He’s not more than a 2nd round NBA prospect though, because he’s a 6’0 combo guard who lacks a bit of quickness and athleticism…Not outstanding at anything when projecting to the NBA, but he’ll have a chance with how he’s grown up over the past 3 years at K-State

Curtis Kelly- The long-armed and athletic 6’9 PF UConn transfer stepped up big last year. Solid low post game, can make mid-range shots well…Is a great shot-blocker…Has come nice counter moves that he’ll flash down low at times…Has the length to get off his shots…He needs to improve his basketball IQ, and his defensive rebounding skills…Looks like he might break out this year with Clemente gone

Jamar Samuels- One of the biggest matchup problems in the Big 12 last year….Can face up and post up at 6’8 215….Can use quickness against big PF’s…Played great D at times, but he’s a bit too foul prone and is prone to gambling…Is a poor ball-handler…Makes mental mistakes at times…Complains to the refs all the time…2013 prospect.

Wally Judge- Right now he’s just a physically gifted athletic freak with raw skills…Rebounds and blocks shots, but he was super foul prone and lacks awareness…Offensive game is raw outside of an inconsistent mid-range shot and dunks at the rim…Give him another year…Tyrus Thomas clone?

    Mizzou:

Kim English- 6’6 195 SG with a nice upside…Mid-range skills are good, and he has a nice 3-ball too…Pull-up jumper is a thing of beauty…Decent athlete and physical presence on the wing…Needs to improve his defense and shot-selection a bit…Reminds me of Nick Young…I think I’m going to scale back on my 1st round guarantee, but he should be much improved and efficient…Chronicled hard worker, who sleeps in the practice gym…Look out for him

Lawrence Bowers- Athletic monster who finishes explosively at the rim. A combo forward at 6’8 210, he’s not a scorer really and plays like a Renaldo Balkman/DeMarre Carrol type…Rebounds and plays good D, especially off the ball for steals and blocks… 2012 prospect.

Tony Mitchell- Athletic wing with nice size for a combo forward…6’8 220 freshman with nice upside…Good touch…Has all the tools to be a problem in that 40 Minutes of Hell…Not very polished, but his size and touch will allow him to be productive…Needs to improve his handle, shooting range, and IQ/awareness

Ricardo Ratcliffe- A mismatch…Can play both SF and PF COMFORTABLY at 6’8 240. Strong rebounder and plays with the energy needed for their press…Good shooter…Possesses strong scoring skills…Will be an immediate impact player for Mizzou

Phil Pressey- Long term prospect..5’10 160 combo guard…Very quick and a very good athlete…Sweet shot…A good scorer…Not a true PG…His lack of size hurts him on D…

    Oklahoma:

Cameron Clark- A 6’6 190 swingman with nice all-around skills..Can handle the ball and pass pretty well…Decent athlete…Will drive the lane…Not very strong…Needs to improve his shooting

    Texas:

Corey Joseph- He’s a pure PG with good basic drive and dish passing ability, good quickness and the strong jump shooting ability. He lacks some athleticism, but he’s very similar to the last good PG Texas had, D.J. Augustin.

Jordan Hamilton- The definition of a selfish scorer. Good jump shot, nice athleticism, and good physical ability. Still, his shot selection, ball-handing and defense are all shaky. Needs to get smarter.

Gary Johnson- 6’6 PF with a junkyard dog mentality…Hard work on the floor and does all the little things on the court…Very strong with a wide frame and long arms…Can finish through contact…About 3 inches too short…Not skilled at all and can’t score outside of about 8 ft…

Tristan Thompson- Not polished, but he has great athleticism, defensive ability, physical gifts, potential, and is a good straight-line slasher despite having subpar handles. Not much of a shooter

    Texas A&M:

David Lobeau- Athletic and long 7′ C…Can finish at the rim…Really looks good running the floor…Can face up a little…Not very polished…Weak at 220 lbs…Good shot-blocker…Has a jump hook, but past that it’s tough for him to score with his back to the basket…Long term intrigue

Khris Middleton- A 6’7 190 combo forward with nice shooting skills…Not much handle…Good athlete with not really fluid…Mediocre defender…Not very tough…Middling rebounder

    Texas Tech:

John Roberson- 6′ PG who can play off the ball too…Very good shooter…Can make plays for himself and others…Not very athletic…Bad defender…

I haven’t watched him much, but I though Cory Joseph was more of a combo guard. Am I just imagining that?

Deron Williams has average athleticism for an NBA PG.

And Corey Joseph can play both guard spots because he can shoot good enough to play off the ball. Not because he’s a SG in a PG’s body or anything like that.

Your right. He’s like the same level a playmaker as Joseph if you think about it. He can play off the ball because he can shoot. He’s not outstanding as a playmaker, but he’s a PG.

he is a huge sleeper for Big 12 FOY this year and maybe even my favorite if stuff doesn’t go right for Josh Selby….he’s in the perfect system at Mizzou…..my predictions are at least 10p 4.5a and 2s……he’s actually improved as an athlete, when I saw him the past 2 summers he impressed like hell with just his PG skills….

I like Selby as F.O.Y in the Big 12, but Pressey will play extended time with J.T. Tiller and Zaire Taylor gone. Both of those guys played good minutes (relative to the PT Mizzou distributes, most of their players don’t play a huge amount of minutes due to their frenetic pace), and I think Pressey’s stats will be around 9 or 10 ppg and 2 or 3 apg like you said because of that. And you have Marcus Denmon, Ratcliffe, and Kimmie English taking a good amount of shots.

I like Pressey but i think Michael Dixon as the starter, and Marcus Denmon off the bench will eat up too many minutes for him to have a huge role, i think his potentiol is being a Jonny Flynn clone.

But i dont think theres any way he wins big 12 foty.

Thats his upside, but theres a chance he turns into a very mediocre player, hell probably end up as a pretty good player though.
