BIG MEN OF NBA DRAFT PAST
aldridge is on the verge of becoming an all-star (and so is bargs) so comparing them to players who haven't played yet or have yet to have minutes consistently is not fair. you also forgot to put brook lopez who's going to be a beast next season.
basing it on sheer potential, i think blake griffin tops all of them. oden and bogut have been disappointments but they'd have solid careers.
Question: bogut, bargnani, aldridge, oden,yi,beasley, love, blake griffin, jordan hill who will have the best career?
Hard to say, over the next five years these guys careers will be greatly affected by their health status ... but at this point, Bargniani, Aldridge, and Blake Griffin have the best chances. Some of these guys have some potential issues looking forward a few years: Bogut (health/team scheme), Oden (health), Yi (no...), Love (second post threat on his team next to Big Al), Jordan Hill (what will the Knicks do to their roster over the next few years).
With the remaining guys, it could be a toss up, as each is a different type of player. Can anyone say with any certainty who is the best player (Stat, Bosh, or Nowitski). Each player (Bargniani, Aldridge, Griffin) has a completely different game.
Bargniani: He could get so much better, and could also become one of the Raptors main options for years to come if Bosh leaves, and he continues to develop. He has the potential to continue developing his game for the next few years.
Aldridge: Has improved like crazy over the past few years, and could continue to do so. He has a versatile game as well. He and Roy work well together, and the system already relies hevily on his current (improving skills).
Griffin: BEAST!!! If he stays healthy, he will beat the snot out of any defence trying to keep him form getting 23/12. He has also not played a game, so nothing is for certian.
Some of the other guys could also flip the switch and go mad.
i would say beasley but his career is probably gonne be that of a sf ..his offense of potenial is limitless like carmelo anthony and his defense will get better...like melo also the fact that he can shoot left or right handed from dunks/midrange/and 3pointers is just icing on the cake..now as far as big men now....someone was right to say its too early to add blake before he plays a game and the fact odom has been injured id have to say lamarcus for now..barring injuries bynum would have to be up there as well as brooks(brad daurghty..yea im abusing the spelling of his name)
