Tonight he has 16 points and 16 rebounds so far. The next leading rebounder on the team is Eric Bledsoe and DeAndre Jordan with 4. Looks like BG needs to spread the wealth a little lol

If he stays healthy, he might lead the league in rebounding.

The strange thing is that with someone of his size and athletic ability he only has 1 block in 8 games. Didn’t get a block in 7 games, that’s weird. Guess he’s not a shot blocker.

Yeah that’s always been a mystery to me. I watched every televised game they’ve shown of him since his Freshman year at OU and I’ve always wondered that

He’s never been a shot blocking presence. It’s probably because he has bad timing and he has a pretty short wing span for someone his size. Still, he played great today and there’s no doubt in my mind that he will be a top-3 rebounder in the near future (if not this year lol).

Awesome game, for sure, but wow, he fouled out in 35 minutes of play, which is not bad, however, his team NEEDS him. They were up by a large margin, by around 20 or so points I saw, than end up losing the game in double OT. They really need Blake Griffin man, he seems to be the only good thing going for them. Sorry Clippers fans, but it appears the Clipps still might have a tough time. I always thought good things about Al-Farouq Aminu, hopefully he gets to play more at the wing, but he is kind of a tweener. Well, Blake has definitely been impressive, but I still think Wall is the favorite for ROY.

Have you not been watching Eric Gordon and Eric Bledsoe? Even Al-Farouq Aminu is showing he has a ton of potential. LAC won’t make the playoffs this season, but talent wise… They have more than just Blake Griffin going forward.

If the Clippers got rid of Baron, I might actually start liking them. After living in the shadow of the Lakers for so long, that franchise deserves a good team for once.

Here is the ultimate question, do you see either of them becoming All-Star players Tezo? Gordon is of course a possibility down the line, he is a great scorer, but he is small for an SG, which worries me. Bledsoe has potential, but I think you kind of lost my meaning of all that they have. I truly mean, the one thing that the Clippers have that could make them stand out right now is Blake Griffin. He is the one player on their team that could eventually be seen as being a top player at his position down the line, Kaman is far to injury prone and Baron is past his prime. Obviously, they could have really used Griffin in that game, because the guy was putting up numbers, they had a huge lead, and it got gobbled up without him on the floor. It seems like people on here are die hard Clippers fans. To me, of the Clippers current performance thus far, Griffin has been the only thing to really be happy about, or in other words has surpassed or lived up to expectations. The rest have been just alright or poor, and their record definitely shows this.

There is no doubt in my mind that Eric Gordon is developing into an All-Star caliber player right now. He’s not just a scorer and he’s been able to show that without Baron Davis on the floor (at least 20, 4 and 4 his last four games). And with the strength, length and athleticism that he has, his height isn’t a problem at either end of the floor.

It’s early to say with Eric Bledsoe, but there’s A LOT to be impressed with. He’s faced Jason Kidd, Tony Parker, Russell Westbrook and Deron Williams his last four games and not given an inch. He has great physical tools and is *extremely* poised. He just needs experience.

A lot of that lead vs Utah was "gobbled up" up with Blake Griffin on the floor. Poor third quarters have been LAC’s problem thus far this season. He only scored one point in the second half. He’s had a couple of games like that this season, where he somewhat disappears in the second half. Griffin is a great and strong athlete who plays with energy/intensity and is a great offensive rebounder, but he’s not very good creating his own offense yet (other than the occassional spin and bank shot, which he’s been doing since Oklahoma). He scores primarily off of putbacks, alley oops and people creating easy baskets for him. Griffin is who we all thought he was. Nothing extra or nothing less.

LAC isn’t going to be good this season, but to say Griffin is the only player they should be happy about is silly.

I guess I did say he was the one good thing going for him, but you know I also like Eric Gordon Tezo, he is a great player, and could indeed be an All-Star a few times, but he seems like a fringe type right now and has yet to really establish himself as a top SG (Though he is very young, but there are so few REALLY good SG’s in the NBA. Kobe, D-Wade, and than Brandon Roy, Joe Johnson, and two others on the possible down side of their career in Manu Ginobili and Ray Allen. I think it is kind of safe to say Vince Carter has stopped being even close to as good as he was). So, he is indeed something to be happy about as well. They have some good young pieces, but the fact that they have started so poorly after bloated expectations just makes you look at their team and wonder what you need to do. There are a lot of young teams out there with good young talent, but at the same time, it has to eventually lead to wins. I was maybe a little hasty in my declaration of Griffin being the only good thing going for the Clippers, and I was WRONG (a word I can use) and I apologize. But, I still think that beyond Blake and Gordon, the Clippers will need another major addition to finally compete. This addition could also be by subtraction, as I think Chris Kaman and Baron Davis may indeed be better in other situations than on the Clipps. Kaman has been at a near All-Star level (again, for a Center, which at times seemingly does not count as much as at other positions with more competition), but he has been injured a great deal and I almost wonder if the Clippers will not eventually want to move Blake Griffin to the 5. Baron, as great a player as he was and still is to an extent, has definitely seen better days and just does not appear to be as hungry to win as he is for Country Village Buffet. One possible alternative I could see, and honestly I am just throwing it out there, is try and trade for Tayshaun Prince. Not only do you bring home an LA boy, but you at least get a solid starting SF, a versatile player and a nice shooter/defender. It would work for the Pistons as well, who have been dying to replace Chauncey Billups at PG since Rodney Stuckey seems to have little ability when it comes to playing that position (Still think Stuckey is a good 2guard however). Tried it out on Trade Machine and it works. Seems like both teams could not really get much better value, maybe Detroit will throw in a 2nd round pick in like 2012.

I was never in the DeAndre Jordan is gonna be a 20/10/3 center in three years club, but I think he’s given some pretty good minutes this season and could, IMO, develop into a servicable defensive center.  When you are talking about surrounding him with Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, Eric Bledsoe his offensive relevancy isn’t as needed.

his offense isnt needed?..i beg to differ since they have those guys but still cant score enough to beat teams. when youre 1-6 you will take offense from everywhere. alot of jordan fans only like to talk about bits of his game. they dont pain the whole picture but they will tell you about a block here and a block there. they fail to mention the bad footwork or the missed passes or bad defensive basketball IQ. that seems to be the case with all big men who can jump. people are so amazed by how athletic they are that they forget about the lack of skill or IQ (

Relax, dude, I’m talking about their backup center playing decent enough Blake Griffin wouldn’t have to play the C.  Not once did mention Jordan’s athleticism nor that I liked him.  I used servicable defensive center to describe him.  No one is raggin on how Theo Ratliff isn’t scoring enough as the Lakers backup center right now, because he rebounds and blocks shots. I’m not comparing Jordan to a vet like Ratliff, but if the backup center can score it’s a plus, but there are plenty of servicable lane cloggers that can’t hit the broad side of a barn, but help their teams in other ways.
