So the Blazers have struck out on Hedo, Ariza and possibly Kidd. What moves do they make now? I read that they are going after David Lee, which doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. 2 of your big 3 of the future are LA and Oden, what they need is a back up power forward like a Mcdyess, Juwan Howard or Leon Powe . I think the Blazers should either sign Andre Miller or Mike Bibby or trade for Hinrich. If they are looking at small forwards, why not go after Tayshun Prince or Shane Battier? Both the Pistons and Rockets are in rebuild mode and Travis Outlaw is only 24 so he’d be a solid piece for those teams. Battier or Prince would give excellent defense, can hit the open shot and are veteran leaders that the Blazers are in dire need of. Another option from what I’ve read is Shawn Marion which isn’t a bad option either. Tell me what you guys think as I am very intrigued to see what Portland does next

I thought Kidd was staying in Dallas. The one option I can think of is trying to trade away Oden, Blake, and a pick for Tayshaun Prince and Rip Hamilton. The other option that could work is signing Lee, then trade him to Chicago for Hinirch. I wouldn’t get someone else at the three spot because that’s just destroying their salary cap.

They don’t need to make any moves. They are not going to be winning a championship in the next year or two. Even though I like both Ariza and Turkoglu, I think it worked out best that they couldn’t sign either guy. They need to play the guys that they have and once they think they can contend then they need to make decisions on signing other guys. Right now they may have a little too much talent. It sounds crazy, but they are getting backed up with players. On top of it these guys know they are talented and that they are wanted around the NBA and for their foreign players, many are wanted over seas. We hear about Rudy getting mad if they sign Turkoglu because that was going to cut into his time. Sergio had problems because he never got to play. Channing Frye, who played great at at times for NY in his first year barely got off the bench. In the future it may be a good idea for them to look at trading a few pieces to get some better players. Maybe they just need to cash some of those guys in.

Roy is an excellent do it all player. Aldridge is a nice big man, but if he’s going to be a cornerstone you have to have a good defender and rebounder which is where Oden hopefully can come in. Though this team would have been really amazing if they had taken Durant over him. Then they would be in contention probably right now. I think Batum has the potential of being amazing. Rudy showed he will probably be a star. Other guys have shown flashes.

I really think they need to see what Bayless can do and bring over Kopponen either this year or next. I think they may need to look into getting Brandon Roy more time at pg so they can get Rudy on the floor more. The foreign players have no reservations in going back home and playing. It’s not like the American born players who tend to not want to leave.

Trading Oden and other players for Rip and Prince? Bad trade. I would go after Miller or Sessions at the point and McDyess or Glen Davis at backup power forward.

next move?idk, they´ve plenty of young talent and there´s a lot of teams rebuilding.phoenix could be one of those teams, they´ve got expirings and not sure nash and stoudamire are going to be there much longer.maybe portland should ask for nash for blake-outlaw and some other(not b-roy,LA,oden and rudy).thay´ve got a veteran leader who are going to make they a real contender this year and maybe could resing him not to expensive giving bayless time to develop and giving he more PT.WCS nash goes to ny they´ve got cap to sing some free agent and claver and then resing roy and aldridge without paying huge luxury taxes.
