    At Orlando’s expense.. wtf Magic?

I’m just glad the Bobcats suck at this point because they have to go through this in order to be relevant and be a better team.. The team they had with Jax and Gerald Wallace was mediocre… They are a good team but not great enough to go deep in the playoffs and they’re not bad enough to get a high draft pick.. Yes they suck but I hope MJ makes solid decisions this time around or else there won’t be a team in Charlotte for long…

Wow Bismack held his own against Dwight tonight.  7 blocks is really impressive

Hahaha keep on hoping MJ makes a solid decision in one hand and sh!t in the other, see which one fills up first.

Again, while MJ has been a bad decision maker, Cho has been excellent.

Orlando Magic: live and die by the three. 35 attempts behind the arc is way too much.

Mullens also had a great game.  8 points and 13 rebounds.  Never thought I’d see the day when Biyombo and Mullens outplayed Dwight Howard.

Looks like a coming out party for Biyombo. Played Howard to a stand still.

I think I was wrong on my assessment of Bismack. I thought he was going to be a huge bust, but I looks to me that he is a very hard worker and really wants to get better. Whenever I see him play he is always looking for someone to box out, which is really nice to see.

I think he would be considered a bust if he was taken top 5, but the Bobcats got him at a reasonable spot considering his potential and production thus far. He reminds me somewhat of Joakim Noah and of course, Serge Ibaka, a very valuable guy who could be a key piece in the right situation. That said, he isn’t going to be a difference maker offensively, so Charlotte really needs to lock down someone for the future who can get them their points.

It does beg the question, if Biyombo gets into a groove towards the end of the season where he looks like a rock-solid big-man defensive cornerstone, does it change Charlotte’s big board to Barnes over Davis, or do they take Davis and move Biyombo, or simply keep the two of them and hope Davis lives up to the hype offensively?

If Bismack had ever played in NCAA’s he probably would be rivaling Anthony Davis in blocks, the guy may be a project and a long ways to go on the offensive end. But like ^^ said, when players with his athleticism (few and far between, the speed he gets off the ground is very impressive even against the NBA’s elite) put all their energy and focus on the defensive end and cleaning up the boards good things will happen. He might cause us to cringe quite a bit on the offensive side for quite a while, but then again so did Ben Wallace, and he went on to have a very successful NBA career…

I would almost prefer a Davis – Biyombo frontcourt because as sad as it may be, at least for awhile Maggette will put up a lot of points and the PG combo of Kemba and DJ will put up points too (one being a 6th man). Obviously they should look to upgrade their SG and SF positions in this draft and upcoming drafts but personally I think prioritizing what positions you want upgraded should go as follows: PG – PF – C – SF – SG. If they take Davis with their first pick (assuming they get the first pick), they could potentially take Shabazz in next years draft to have a great mix of scoring and defense with the only hole being with Maggette. They have a lot of options going forward.

@omphalos, No matter how well Bismack plays for the rest of the year, Bobcats should draft Davis or Drummond regardless. They need all the help they can get, and must hit a home run in this years draft. They need someone to build around. It will be really hard to build around Barnes especially since the Bobcats don’t really have a true point guard and it has been proven time and time again that Barnes succeeds only when he is playing with a true point guard. (Why do you think he struggled last year when Drew was the point guard and didn’t start playing up to his potential until Drew left and Marshall started?) Pairing Bismack with Davis or Drummond would be big, because it would help the Bobcats drastically down low. Both would give them a better offensive game in the front court as both are more offensively gifted than Bismack.

Decided to watch the game on league pass to see how Biyombo played beyond the numbers and he looked good out there, at worst I think he becomes a Kendrick Perkins type, but he’s very active and vocal on the defensive end. He’s still very raw on the offensive end, but he made a nice turnaround jumper in the post, and it looked smooth too. Once he gets more confident he could be a decent contributor on the low block.

Dude has some serious length! Blocked one of Howards shots, denied Nelson a couple of times and was just generally altering shots (a lot of them Dwight’s) all over the place. He’s not going to turn the franchise around, but his work ethic showed in this game and that sort of attitude is infectious.

On another note, Henderson looked great tonight, he has a really strong mid-range game and is a solid third option type player who is efficient and doesn’t take too many questionable shots. I really think if his young career hadn’t been marred by injury we’d be talking about him a lot more, but as it stands he hasn’t been able to build any sort of momentum without going down almost immediately after. I really hope he can stay healthy and get into a groove, because he reminds a bit of Joe Johnson, he won’t wow you, but very polished shot-maker who can create his own shot and move off the ball.

I’m with Omphalos on Henderson.  He’s a keeper and I think he could be a defensive stopper.
