BORN READY......are you serious????

Just caught the McDonalds all-star game and my question is would you want Lance Stephanson in your program? Now I'm just going by what I saw in this game and some other video I have seen, but this kid's body language just screams "its me and all about me". I have a hard time seeing him FITTING INTO a succesful college program with other good players, especially upperclassman. I saw that St Johns was one of his college choices and that would be a perfect place for him because they have zero talent and he could come in, they could give him the rock and just let him go. I'm not trying to be an a-hole about the kid and I really he hopes he goes somewhere and does well and becomes a pro and all that stuff, but to me he just epitomizes the "one and done" "I gotta get mine" type of player.

He does have great size and a nice skill set though

I saw it 2

He has HORRIBLE body languauge, he never thinks he fouls, makes mistakes with passes or makes mistakes in general. He is waaayyy too turnover prone right now,he has to get better about that. I saw at least 5 terrible, terrible passes he threw throughtout the course of the game. He has all the talent in the world, but he has a difficult character,a truely selfish person from what I can see. He will probably go 2 either Kansas or St.John's. Bill Self wont put up with that so he would be better off at St.Johns where he could shoot all he wants. St.Johns does have 2 bordeline NBA prospects in that pf dude Justin Burrell and Anthony Mason Jr.(if he comes back,he was injured this yr.) on the wing,so they may have decent talent. Him and Greivis Vazquez would be a disaster,2 players that absolutely need the ball in their hands to be successful and 2 players with very strong and cocky egos.

Stevenson is ust ok to me

I think he is somewhat overated the guy needs to really lose some weight.People said Ty.Evans was a ball hog no Stevenson has redefined that term he seems a shell of the player that gave O.J.Mayo a good run for his money a few years back. This is what happens when people start beleiving the hype and stop trying to grow as a player. This guy used to be a combo guard now he is just a hired gun who is well on his way to being like Felipe Lopez and Lenny Cook guys that were considered all world talent but chose not to develop they're skills and focused on being NBA players and it didn't work out. This guy should consider going over seas so he can have a reality check and see what the real hoops world is like.Once the Mcdonald's game is over nobody on the next level cares about what high school all- american game you played in they care about winning and doesn't seem to care about winning.

i think

My thoughts after watching lance stephenson over the season is that he is a cancer to a team. He has moments where u see talent and u see how special he possibly could be but most of the time he is as most ppl have said its all about him. He takes a lot of wild shots and i think he is in love with the 3 ball even tho he is just mediocre from there. I believe hype is a killer fro most kids in sports. For some kids hype is motivation but for others hype is sumthin that makes them stop working hard or makes them want 2 be more selfish. As a duke fan i always like seeing top recruits but now i can see why coach k didnt recruit this guy to hard. I see him as kind of crippling a top school if he goes there. he doesnt exactly seem like the most coachable kid

yeah but

he might be everything you all are sayin but dude knows how to win on a good h.s team in argueably one of the best if not the best public shcool league in america and i think dude has won three city titles( in 3 yrs) with other D1 players on his team. so its not like he doesnt get anyone else involved. and you guys are kinda talkin crazy bc he is easily one of the top 5 guards prob even top 3 in his class so he does alot of stuff better than good. he just plays nyc ball

NYC ball? Cool, that does

NYC ball? Cool, that does not translate to winning, at all. Who else played NYC ball? Telfair, Starbury, Kenny Anderson? Telfair might be a back up point guard, Starbury couldn't fit in on a winning team (maybe until this year) because of his style of play/attitude, and Anderson never really lived up to the hype. There is a huge difference between being able to do whatever you want on a court with other high schoolers, regardless of how good the league may be, and being a productive /good pro (or even college) player. From the way the kid played last night, he has no future. Yes, people like Mayo, Starbury, Arenas can jack up shots like that and try and take everything to the hole, but that is because they are more talented than he is. He is a ball-hog who is going to have to change his mentality and persona in order to even succeed at a top level program.

Anyone see the alley he threw up to win the McDonalds game yesterday?? Lol
Hes a scorer, that is what he does best...plus its a all star game everyone is trying to get MVP.
he once dropped 50 pts on Jamal Crawford at the rucker ...are yall sure hes garbage? (i actually like jamal crawford 2) Lol.
Yall are right tho about him fitting into a team concept thats why he got cut from the usa team..

I hate how events get skewed

I hate how events get skewed so much by people...He did not score 50 on Jamal Crawford. Jamaal scored 42 and Lance had 28. Lance's team won and he got MVP.

The Return

The return of Latrell Spreewell is eminent, I can see stephanson saying 15 million can't feed his family either. Great talent, but a 5 cent head. The guy needs to go to a school like West Virgina and get his &$#%#&@! straightened out from Bob Huggins.
