Thornton is a good young scoring guard and the Lakers would much rather have him then Brown. If he doesn't retire he is an overall better player, if he does I still like Walker, just as athletic and produced at the end of the year.

The Bulls have 4 players and multiple #1 picks they can use to create a package for Chris Bosh.

- Taj Gibson (18 double-doubles his rookie year)
- James Johnson
- Kirk Hinrich

Those mutliple #1 Picks:
- The Bulls have a mid-1st Round pick this year and next year
- The Bulls also own Charlotte's #1 Pick starting possible next year
Last I checked, Bosh looks to be leaving, while Calderon and Turkoglu have been disappointing. That is where Gibson, Hinrich and Deng or Johnson could work well for Toronto and Bryan Colangelo. My guess is the trade package will be 2 of those 4 guys, plus some draft picks.

Shannon doesn't start over Fisher, because Phil is very loyal to Fish and he has played for so many years in the backcourt with Kobe they have a winning chemistry, why shouldn't he start? Did you catch the big shots throughout his career? The main reason Shannon isn't starting over Fish is because he is a SG not a PG and his jumper isn't as good as Fisher's. Who is better Odom or Bynum? Yet Bynum starts, so that was just stupid.

i like the idea of bosh going to houston, but i dont think the rockets would trade yao or if tornoto would want him cause of his injury problems, but they would get a lot more fans lol.. i think the raps would target younger players and picks like hill and those new york picks, probably have to throw in scola and/or battier, which isnt bad at all, and i really dont want the raps to throw away DD just yet, still very young and has lots of potential..

2nd off...This is a perfect deal for a team who could use a redo. They have Bargiani and DeRozan already there. Dampier is 14 mil off the books or a trade piece. Having the 13th and 14th pick? You can move up, move out and even move to next season for another pick. Battier and Anderson are guys who can change the team dynamics. Battier is a tough defender who can be a solid defender against the East' SF and Anderson (similar to Bargs) can extend the court and can play solid defense.
What about Bosh to Houston for Battier(solid defender, good role model for DD and Weems), Hill(may be a good future big man with some defensive presence), Scola(does the dirty work and will fit in with the other Euros), maybe one or two picks included..
This looks better than the laker trade because they have more future help with picks and young players.
Bosh would want to do this cause yes, it is close to his home town, and the team would be very good and have a chance at winning. Plus Bosh would probably be the first option, or at worse 1b if Yao is back and healthy..

Turkoglu/Xavier Henry or Hayward with thier lottery pick- Hedo isn't going to be traded, because no one is going to take on his ridiculous salary for 4more years. Hedo lucked out with his trip to the Finals last year and his play has gone downhill.
Bargnani/Johnson/Evans- this is going to be huge for the Raptors they are going to move Bargnani to his natural position because he isn't a center by any means
Bynum/Dorsey- Bynum is going to be the biggest center in the East when Shaq's washed up asss retires
Farmar < Brooks, but Farmar has always played well against him since his days at UCLA

Terrence Williams, Courtney Lee, and CDR are all better than Brown.
Marcus Thornton is better than Brown. He would relegate Brown to be stabled on the bench if he played for the Lakers. Let's not play the "he plays for a lottery team" card.
Wesley Matthews is the same type of player Brown is for the most part, but he's still a better player. Even as a rookie.
Derozan is better than Brown at SG, and he's a natural SF.
JR Smith is hands down better than Brown. Only thing Brown does better is defense.
