BOS/OKC trade

I believe danny ainge should blow this team up right know. I know that there`s been a lot of possible trades on the site but it`s obvious pierce and kg must be traded while they can put a team in position to win a championship. Meanwhile Boston need to get the a lot of young players and picks to rebuild fast. So that`s why i think this trade can work:

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=bebyld4

boston sends KG for Perkins, Perry Jones and Jeremy Lamb.

Oklahoma: They lose their future 2 guard on lamb so they will have to try to resign martin or find another 2, they lose a good prospect on perry jones but he would never get big minutes in this team. But they get KG who is a great defensive presence, he will bring a championship mentality to this team and he would be a great pick and pop option with durant and westbrook. i believe he would also help westbrook development.

Boston: It`s a big risk. they have two players how can be great or who can be busts. But both have a big potential and could one day start on this team. And since they are not set at the shooting guard and small forward position it would be a good risk to take. Perkins would help boston maintain their defensive mentality.

I`m sorry for the 100th blow up the celtics trade but i think this might be a good one.

Thoughts?

Thunder/ Celtics

This would probably work great for the Thunder at least. I'm not sure this is what the celtics would be looking for to move Garnett? But I like the idea as a fan of both teams if the Celtics are folding.

I don't think OKC would be

I don't think OKC would be willing to give up both PJ3 and Lamb for an aging KG, as we know Oklahoma values cheap young talent more than anything. I think it's either one or the other. KG is an upgrade at center but he doesn't bring the thunder the low post presence they need

No way dude OKC would trade

No way dude OKC would trade Perry and Lamb in a heartbeat for KG are you crazy? Not only that it rids them of Perkins bloated contract.

I already thought of this trade myself but I doubt Boston would do it unless they could find a 3rd team to take Perkins and his contract.

Acquiring KG would seal the deal for the Thunder going to another Finals and could be that X Factor to put them over the top against the Heat in the Finals.

Like did you see the game today against the Heat? Did you see what KG did to them? He can still do that and WILL DO IT IN THE PLAYOFFS.

ok danny ainge...i'm

ok danny ainge...i'm listening, if you'll negotiate. you can get the 3 guys you wanted...i want paul pierce. and because i'm in '&$#%#&@! gm' mode i'll take fab melo as well.

if okc get pierce, it means they can finally start to experiment more with some smaller lineups and push ibaka to the 5 spot. then, when they're playing the heat in june, pierce-durant-ibaka match up far better with the heat than durant-ibaka-perkins- or durant-garnett-ibaka, for that matter!

Why

Would the C's take Perkins contract? They traded him because he was not worth it. People want KG and Peirce on their team. That Celtics roster is still good. Blow it up? Then blow up the Lakers right? Makes no sense. The Celtics will play it out and maybe make a small trade. In Boston sucking wont do. They have a good squad right now without Rondo peep that roster. Who's packing it in? They will ball hard maybe make a small move. They are a dangerous team right now.

I think they should blow it up because they are not winning anything with only paul, kg and rondo. i believe that danny ainge would rather take risks than becoming the next atlanta hawks.

So every team

That's not expected win a title should blow it up? That's dumb. You would be a bad GM. You play it out this year. Make the neccessary changes in the off season. You don't take bad contracts for weak draft picks in a weak draft. The team has a lot of good players with experience and youth already. Play the season out. Blow up a current playoff team that could beat anyone in the east or contend with anyone in a 7 game series. Stop listening to the media. We know you guys hate the Celtics. They still have a deep good team. Make moves next year. Trade. PP for Rudy or KG for Perk? Dude they wont be stupid or desperate. Its just basketball. Play hard play it out. You don't cancel out mid season. You grab your nuts like the bulls, be smart make smart decisions and play it out. They lose 5 in a row after this game then you look for a deal. You don't panic. Yes I would trade anyone if the deal is right but do it just because or for the above suggested without proof that these guys have cashed out is DUMB.

KG is so loyal to the Celtics

KG is so loyal to the Celtics and everything they stand for, that if he were to be traded I would say he would unhappily retire on the spot. I just don't see him or Pierce being shipped as their intentions (as well as the ones of the fans and the Celtics organization) are that they would retire as a Celtic. I like the fact that the Celtics get Perry Jones (I was so pissed that they picked Fab Melo over him on draft day) but I just don't see any trade moving KG happening. Anybody but Pierce and KG on the other hand I believe could get traded if Ainge wants to.

No.

I`m not saying every team that`t is not a contender should blow it up. But a team that has 2 of it`s 3 best players getting worse everyday should. You compared the celtics to the bulls but i think that`s a different situation noah, deng and gibson are not on the end of their careers as kg and paul pierce are. when rose gets back his teammates(most) will be better but we can`t say the same for boston.
but let`s suppose they keep their core.

2013-They will get the 8th seed or won`t go to the playoffs. If they make it they won`t pass the first round.
(you said that boston is a playoff team that could beat anyone in the east or contend with anyone in a 7 game series. i disagree they can`t contend with the Miami on NY even with rondo and won`t contend without him.)

2014-Next year they will at maximun grab the 5th seed and hardly will pass the first round. paul pierce contract will expire.

2015-Then they will have convince rondo to resign, they will begin acquiring new assets. Maybe they will have a ok free agent and probably won`t draft.

so they might lose rondo and have to start to rebuild all over.

or...

They can get rid of KG now, try to develop some young prospect (if one is a bust and the other a starter it was a good trade). They can get rid of the big contracts and keep an eye for the free agents. By the time rondo contract expires they will have a solid core of young players plus any free agent they can grab.

I rather take risks to have a greater chance of winning something in the future than have a ok team that will have to rebuild eventually. I believe danny ainge thinks the same way since he said that he would rather blow this team a year too early than a year too late.
