shannon92ParticipantBucks are stocking up on wings… does that mean that they will be picking whiteside? they seem to have no depth at Center and bogut has injury history.
thoughts, comments?

jricha06ParticipantWhat this means is that the bucks wont make an offer to John Salmons. They were trying to lock him up before he went to FA but that didnt work. They must have felt more confident in Corey instead (althou I am not sure with his huge contract), but nonetheless this gives them a starting SF which they lost when they traded Jefferson.
CDR is a solid bench player and since they got him at a great price (2nd rounder) this makes sense. Any team would love to increase scoring on their second unit so I dont believe this influences their draft pick.
In the draft I still think the bucks need to address SG since Redd is a shell of the player he was and his expiring deal can be used at the next trade deadline to land the missing pieces they need to push for the playoff run. Remember the bucks prior to Boguts injury were playing extremely well. If Bogut can come back and they can resume that potential they would be a dangerous playoff team (I know that is a big IF but couple that with the improvement and growth of Jennings).

esperanzafleet69Participanti still think they will choose patterson if hes available… and cdr is much more than a bench player.. i think he can start and develop alongside jennings for years to come…

BasterdInABasketParticipantFor the draft it all depends who falls to them. If patterson or udoh would fall i think theyd take either those guys since PF is still their biggest need right now. If not they have three other options: take xavier henry if hes there, take larry sanders who they love or trade down and take lance stephenson.
Patterson would be the best fit for this team as he could space the floor for jennings and bogut and is a great team player who would do to bj and bogut what he did with wall and cousins. Sanders was part of the report last week that the bucks gave him a guarantee at 15 which was not true but there is no doubt they love his game. Stephenson held his own in a workout against henry but picking him makes a lot less sense considering hes a virtual clone of maggette.

severinParticipantyou’re right! the Bucks need more big men. They need depth at the 4 and 5. I agree that patterson is the best option, but the bucks should also try to get a C. Fear the deer! They might be even better next year.

BucksRUSParticipantBucks will most likely pick Sanders at 15. They will pick a C or PF like Gallon in the second. They will also try to trade into the first to get a SG that can shoot, since that is not Maggette or CDR’s strong points. Crawford and Anderson would be the most likely targets depending on how far they can move up. They like Stephenson, but he also is not a shooter and basically duplicates Maggette.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipanti love whta their doing and hope they keep it up….Cdr is a starter …imo…he’s got more potential than Maggs,Delfino or Redd…he needs to play Sg and be allowed to break his down off the dribble..
I can see CDR being a poor mans Penny Hardaway…I think he can do it all if he’s given the chance…To me this was not a minor move to the Bucks…I fell they went asking about CDR and were suprised themselves they got him for so cheap…The Bucks love 2nd round steals…Redd,Moute,Delfino
Skiles loves guys that play with a chip on their shoulder…CDR has some doubters out there to prove wrong…He was a big part of that Memphis national title run…and he’s been sorely slept on in the NBA…
Now the Bucks need to make a splash in the draft…and start offering up that massive Micheal Redd contract…Someone will see the success of a NY and jump on the bandwagon…so it’s time to start selling the former all star shooting guard like the Rockets did Tmac…I don’t believe they’ll get the same in return as Daryl Morey..that was the steal of the century…If cdr can be a 15 to 20 guy in his career, he’ll be a steal as 2nd round trade pickup….

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantThe Bucks are making alot of great moves. I think they have to resign Luke to backup Jennings because he was underrated during Jennings’ bad shooting months. CDR was a great pickup. I don’t think he’s a 20 point scorer but I think he could fill it up.
If Maggette would take a 6th man role would make this team very scary. He never played in the East during his peak. He could be a SG/SF and could bang against some small lineups.
With the 15th pick- The Bucks should add a PF. Also, With the Maggette move, The Bucks are over the cap and can use the MLE.

omphalosParticipantSalmons can only be described as a frustrating player. His attention span must be terrible given that he always manages to thrive in a new situation then get bored and wander off again. Given the abundance of talented free agents in the draft he will either be paid lower than expected or grossly overpaid by a team which couldn’t land a marquee player. I’m leaning towards the former. Not sure if I see him getting his worth except maybe if he resigns with the Bucks. A 30 year old player as unpredictable as Salmons doesn’t warrant anything more than a three year deal in my opinion.
