What if Washington dropped Gilbert Arenas?

I hate to say it but I think that’s the smartest move because it moves Washington back into the 2010 FA Bonanza and it just eliminates the problem. This Washington Wizards team needs to blow up.

A- John Wall? Right now, there right between horrible and decent. One good set of wins can push them right back into 8th seed contention. I would go for John Wall. Last year, they got the 5th pick and could have had Brandon Jennings, Terrance Williams or even Ty Lawson but got Randy Foye and Mike Miller. If they get a top 3 pick- YOU BETTER NOT TRADE IT.

B- Antwan Jamison. Gotta Go. I would look towards trading him. Even if you get 40 cents to the dollar in terms of value, do it. He has 3 season left in his contract, he’s good but not worth his price. I think a deal like this just to get rid of his contract:

Antwan Jamison to New Jersey for Bobby Simmons and either Dallas’ 2010 1st round pick or Golden State’s 2011 1st round pick ( Both owned by New Jersey)

C- Deal these Expiring Contracts! Mike Miller (10 mil), Randy Foye ( 4 mil), Brendan Haywood (6 mil) and Mike James (6 mil) why are these guys still Wizards? Trade them.
Haywood should have value, trade him to a team who wants a big (Dallas). Randy Foye is best off the bench and same for Miller. Both will be easy to deal. Mike James is a tough one because he has NO value.

    what do you think?

i have no doubt the team wouldn’t mind voiding his contract. But they will have to wait for the legal process to determine if they are even capable of terminanting that contract. As for getting rid of expiring deals like miller, foye, haywood, and James? How does that make any sense? You want ot free up salary space this summer by getting rid of Arenas to play the FA market, but then you turn around and get rid of all your expiring deals to take on long term deals that will hurt your ability to play the FA market.

if it says something in his contract about waving a gun around (which i’m sure it does) they have every right to void it.

i don’t think he waved it around or pointed it at anyone. And like quincey said, the players association will fight agiasnt the voiding of a contract. Latrell Sprewell choked his coach and the warriors did everything they could to void his contract but were unable to.
