Dc773ParticipantThe Warriors would like to upgrade at small forward before the Feb. 24 trade deadline, and the Philadelphia 76ers’ Andre Iguodala, Chicago Bulls’ Luol Deng, Atlanta Hawks’ Josh Smith, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Jeff Green and Indiana Pacers’ Danny Granger all may be on their radar, The San Jose Mercury News reported.
Bulls: Carmelo Anthony
Warriors: Luol Deng, Taj Gibson, 2011 Bulls First (late), 2012 Charlotte First (likely lottery)
Nuggets: Dan Gadzuric (7Mexpiring), Vlade Radmanovic (6Mexpiring), Epke Udoh (rook/potential), James Johnson (potential), 2011 Warriors First (lottery)0 - Posted on: Mon, 01/31/2011 - 12:27pm #481181
PlatypusParticipantWarriors would take that in a heart beat, they dont give up that much but get alot

Moon RiverParticipantI think the Bulls have to make this move. There does not appear to be anyone in the 2011 draft that can help them in the immediate future. Giving up Taj hurts, but you have to do this deal to get Melo. I have read that people believe Melo’s addition to the Bulls will stagnate D. Rose’s growth. I am not buying it and like this deal for the Bulls.

Snubs15ParticipantThe nuggets get raped by this deal. They can find a better offer than this.

Dc773ParticipantWas not that part of the precursor for once they annoyed the heck out of Nets’ owner? At some point they will have to settle.

KayjayParticipantI think he would be excellent addition to the bulls. However…I’m pretty sure he strongly feels the need to be in New York.

KayjayParticipantIf I were them I’d take the deal.

Dc773ParticipantMelo did cite Bulls in his preferred destinations if I’m not mistaken. Am I right?

Quincey HodgesI don’t think the bulls make this deal because they are good as is. they are a possible title contender and thats with Noah hurt. Deng not only provides them with almost 20pg but better defense then melo. Taj is a great ^th man and has the potential to be Hoarce Grant 2011 off the bench.

EuroBallParticipantAt the end of the season Melo is going to sign with the knicks. He will take less money and take his talent to the big apple. Melo, Amari, and maybe Paul…

Quincey HodgesWhy would Paul go when he has said he is now happy there because of where the team is going and that the rumors of him wanting out were never from him?..

Quincey HodgesPaul can’t leave for 2 years anyway

apb540ParticipantI would rather see my Sixers jump in on this action with Iggy. The Bobcats 2012 pick is looking pretty sexy.

jjonzParticipantlook @ the #### does Melo put them over the LuxTax? Does Melo put them over the Hump in the East? With the new CBA the cap could be around 45-50 mill. so melo & booz would take up tons of room, plus resigning DRose. More goes into this than paper championships. People that look good on paper. $$$ is a big factor is this equation. Plus i heard this a seller’s market @ the trading deadline not a buyer’s, since everybody has a trade exemption to use. I’would’nt do this deal.

apb540ParticipantRose
Brewer
Melo
Boozer
Noah
Yea that would be the best starting 5 in the east. Melo would need to re-learn how to move without the ball thou. All they run in Denver is iso’s.

Quincey HodgesJust play off Brewer and double team because Brewer is a horrible shooter. At least with bogans you get a shooter and defender

Quincey HodgesThat lineup isn’t awhole lot different from the
Dwill
Brewer
AK
Boozer
Okur ….Line up as far as the pg,sg,pf is concerned. Melo is better on offenese then Ak but that Gap is the same on the defensive side. Dwill is a better defender then rose, Noah is a better defender/rebounder then Okur but not the scorer nor does he have the Range.

nateoak10ParticipantIt’s the writers opinions more than what we will do / might do. We’d want Iggy/Granger the most

FritzParticipantI Think the bulls could beat that Utah team now without Noah, and you think they are comparable with Noah and Melo? The Bulls are legit title contenders right now, may not be the favorites but this team can win it. Add Noah and you have arguably an elite team in the NBA. I would take Rose, Brewer/Korver, Melo, Boozer, and Noah over the Heat this year concerning the chemistry wouldnt be bad. Melo is 3xs the player Kirilenko is and Noah is way better than Okur, they are not comparable at all.
As in terms of Bulls with Melo > Heat I belive in this because Coach Tibbs. He is a hell of a coach, much better thank Spolstra in my opinion. Defense wins champiships and although the Bulls might not be as talented as individual defenders as the heat they play better team defense and once Noah get back and brings the energy the Bulls will be one of the best defensive teams in the league.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantLets say Melo went to the Bulls and they win the title this year; will melo then resign with them? I know his ultimate wish is to play with the Knicks but I think it would be difficult to ditch a team that just won a title.
