can I laugh at everyone now??
No they should have drafted Babbitt....
But seriously i was very high on Aminu pre draft, but i think Cousins is the second best prospect in the draft, so i think taking him was the right move, they have had too many finnesse bigs, they need a bruiser.
- DeMarcus Cousins
As pointed out last week, Cousins is only hurting the Kings when he’s on the floor. The 6-11/270 true center still insists on drifting out beyond 14 feet to take jumpers, hence the atrocious 40.3% field goal percentage, he is averaging 4.25 fouls in just 23.3 minutes (nearly impossible), and he blocks a shot about every other game. The Kings need him to be more focused if they’re to rescue their season
4th best rookie playing with the best rookie this year vesus this AND cousins has attitude problems
its hillarious how the debate before is oden-durant yet no one can realize still the kings made the WRONG choice
size is great its not everything. hes a bruiser who only settles for midrange shots WOW how helpful
If you are watching the Kings vs. Clippers game tonight you should have all the evidence you need to see why the correct choice was Cousins.
The Kings got a Major Steal getting Cousins at 5...But i also felt Aminu had the chance to be very special..And right now he's among the top 8 rookies in the league..But Cousins is the 3rd best rookie...No way i would've picked him over Cousins....
4 of the top ten picks are scheduled to be big men. even with the leagues worst record you can never count on getting 1-3 ask the nets. they would be much better off if thier 1-3 could shoot-score new run tmc evans isnt a pure anything hed work very well in this system
Babbitt has to play behind alot of people..Plus Matthews & Fernandez gets time at small forward..
I really believe if he was getting minutes he could average about 7 or 8 points a game...He played well in summer league & preseason and i thought he would be in the rotation during the season..
aminu named 4th best rookie playing with best pf rookie - very good personality and teammate hard worker
cousins coaches nightmare , takes shots he cant make, not aggressive except with his own coach
Cousins is a center your "4 of the top ten picks are scheduled to be big men" 1 is center and there are only 3 in the mock for the 1st round, and all are combo, there are 11 combo and non combo small forwards and 5 pure small forwards and 3 pures in the top 5
Athletic, raw, combo forwards are a dime a dozen in this league, and can always be found somwhere in the lottery, where is Sac is destined again this year, while 6'11 270lbs skilled centers do not happen often.
Cousins (C and PF) has, Sammie D, Carl Landry, Darnell Jackson and Jason Thompson who all average 10 plus mins
Aminu (sf and pf) Gomes, Brian Cook, Griffin, Craig Smith, Jordan, and Kamans hurt
Cousins isnt hurt? and who are the legit centers who arent "projected" to come out? look at those 3 small forwards who are top 5, they're all frosh.
and i'd take Terrance Jones over Aminu all day
13kavak........over/under on his age is starting at 14, fielding all bets
theres no comparison about taking cousins over a skinny tweener as mentioned its much harder to find legit bigs then it is tweener forwards
The only thing he had to backup his opinion was an article, not a single thread of his own analysis or opinion other than Aminu is better than Cousins. I'm sure he and cyclo play Magic the Gathering everyday at recess.
Jones doesn't have handles like a guard. You wont find one scout or report that says that. you can't even come to that conclusion by watching the games. right now people wonder if he can play small forward full time. If he had handles like a guard that wouldn't even be a question
As far as being right you might wanna wait another year or 2 since it takes time for a big man to develop most of the time
I always said Cousins behavior is a problem and that it would be a problem in the league. Hopefully he excepts the coach is the boss and get down in the paint and bang and stop shooting jumpers. Every big man tends to have foul trouble coming into the league.
Steroid, Cousins is the best big man prospect in a while? Blake Griffin was drafted a year before, and Kevin Love before that. Cousins conditioning, defense, and lack of athleticism is holding him back as of now.
He was the best big man prospect when he was coming out. He has better/more post moves then Love or Griffin but the attitude and work ethic is gonna keep him from becoming what he can be. 6'11 270 with go to move plus a counter move plus a counter to his counter, range on his jumper, good athlete for his size, long arms, now imagine if he had the motor or Blake and the attitude
I think this dude is the only person higher on Aminu than I was....I had him as my 4th overall prospect.....that being said Cousins was my first so he was the right pick....
CTFU!!!!!!!!!!haha....
Sorry StanfordHoops but you obviously didn't do your research on this one. You said there is not one scouting report that says Terrence Jones handles the ball like a guard and I thought to myself hold on....It says that he handles the ball like a guard on NBADRAFT.NET!!!!!! Go read the scouting report on T. Jones on this sight.
And Terrence Jones once again is a prototypical small forward. Just because he can play power forward in college doesn't mean he can't play small forward in the pro's. Remember Jeff Green? Thad Young? Josh Smith? Odom? Ect, ect. Some players are just blessed with enough size, skill, and athleticism to play both forward spots effectively and Terrence Jones is one of them. Perry Jones is one of them for that matter too. It is going to be interesting to see his combine numbers tho to see if T. Jones is really 6'8 or 6'9. That one inch makes a big difference in legitimizing things. He was already measured at the Nike Hoops summit as having a 7'2 wingspan so length won't be a fact for him in the pros.
And I thought the Kings should have taken Aminu too....Until I noticed Cousins still on the board. However if the Wolves took Cousins like they should of, and the Kings were left deciding between Wes Johnson, Monroe, and Aminu, my thought process was that they should have taken Aminu over the other two because he got more potential. Monroe is just soft. And Wes Johnson is just confused at age 23. Both red flags too me.

I was one of the very few if not the only one that told you the kings should have drafted aminu, I insisted they were going to and as it turns out they should have! aminu and evans would have been perfect together. so everyone that thought I was an idiot. BITE ME!
