buckeyefan17ParticipantWhat’s up fellow Cavs fans! I know we have a good amount of Cavs fans on this forum so hopefully you guys can help me out in deciding the 4th and 24th picks
How I think the top 3 will look like…
1. Davis
2. Beal
3. Trob
4…it’s to me down to 3. MKG, Barnes, and Drummond. To me i’m favoring Barnes just his high-floor and good scoring potential are a big plus for him. MKG’s bad shooting form scares me. Drummond is very risky and with Thompson’s lack of range and struggles at the free throw line it would be a big liability to have the paint cloged and two bad ft shooters.

buckeyefan17ParticipantWell I looked at the Bobcats thread. No Barnes for us….

RafterParticipantIMO, barring that Barnes has already been picked, the shortlist for the pick should be:
1. Beal, he got the better of Barnes in the head to head workout, according to some reports, he’s the guy that has emerged as the second best prospect in the draft.
2. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, the Cavs apparently love MKG due to his motor, defense and high character and the Cavs would be willing to overlook his lack of offensive ability in favour for his strengths due to their being scorers on the roster.
3. Thomas Robinson, Tristian Thompson aside, Robinson is somebody that can replace Jamison in being somebody that can be a dependable scoring light. If Beal is off the board, Robinson is the best player available.
4. Andre Drummond, Drummond could look even better playing alongside Irving especially in pick and roll situations.
I say take Beal, if Beal isn’t available, select Kidd-Gilchrist.

buckeyefan17ParticipantI agree on Beal. But say he gets picked before 4 is Drummond’s potential worth it? MKG is he really worth the 4th pick. Not to mention their is a decent chance we could get a solid sf at 24.

RafterParticipantDrummond’s potential would be worth it if there are talented small forwards available which appears to be true but there would be other options besides small forwards avaliable at the 24th pick such the shooter John Jenkins, bigmen Melo and Ezeli, shooting guards: as Fournier and Lamb (Doron) who are also needs which would the MKG acceptable..
My advice would be to pick whoever you feel is the most important prospect at the 4th pick and then select the best player available that fills a need at 24th as for the second rounds, don’t be afraid to duplicate picks here e.g. picking the same position. As long as your picks make sense, it’ll be good enough for the Cavs fanbase.
