I'm watching ESPN and Chard Fords new top 10 goes like this
6.New Orleans-Alex Len
Interesting to see Oladipo go second overall, and they said Big Mac is dropping because of not being prepared for workouts and is out of shape and confused about his direction he is going.
Jay Williams said hand down he would take Alex Len over Nerlens Noel and also said McLemore has the potential to be a T-Mac type player. Chad Ford was also bragging on MCW saying he is a 6'6 elite athlete, that got 3 steals a game and sees the floor as well as any player in the draft, so NBA teams might think he will be the better NBA player the Trey Burke
I would LOVE for Mclemore to drop to the Suns but he won't get passed Charlotte. Kinda surprised he still has Noel #1 when it seems like Cavs aren't very high on him.
These picks are horrible..why would Portland draft a PG??
I wouldn't put it past them, after all G.S. had a starting backcourt that consisted of 2 6'3'' guards.
The Warriors didn't start Jarrett Jack until David Lee went out.
Ford has said he considers McCollum a SG
McCollum isn't really a PG. He's basically a shorter better shooting version of Jamal Crawford.
CJ McCollum has a feel for the game ala Steph Curry.
In his print version MCW and Burke are switched
Ben McLemore is nothing like T Mac what in the hell did he get that comparison from.
First B Roy comparison now T Mac.
That was the poster, not Ford. Ford was pretty down on B-Mac in the long version. Apparently has agent has kept him out of the gym and as a result he's not in as good a shape as he was during the combine.
If I were Charlotte I would take Len over Bennett
They could use both.
I feel like I'm the only Charlotte Hornets fan not high on Anthony Bennett. My list is Nerlens Noel, then Ben McLemore, then Alex Len. I don't think I need to put a fourth because I seriously don't think those will be the first 3 chosen. The highlights of Bennett are nice but I've watched whole games of his and I wasn't amazed like I was several times with the other 3. I hope people keep &$#%#&@! talking Noel and McLemore so one of them drops to us because I've watched a ton of their games and I really enjoyed watching them, and I think Len is going to be the best pick and roll big of the draft. I'll be pretty disappointed if we draft Bennett because so many people are going to expect to get Larry Johnson, where instead we are going to get a soft, undersized, outside shooting power forward. I guess we'll have to see.
As a Jazz fan I had been thinking for a while that they may pass on a point guard at the 14 spot, I don't think they are that high on any of the point guards in this draft. If they let Milsap and Jefferson leave they will need a big and Lucas has some interesting aspects to his game, he runs like a deer, is a good shot blocker, athletic, no offensive game to speak of but he out runs almost everyone and scores that way and is OK in the pick and roll. The other possiblity I've been thinking of is Olynyk because of his offensive skill level, we could use a stretch 4 and at 7' he'd be a good fit.
At 21 Schroder would be OK , he has potential but I'm not sure how much playing time he would get as a rookie, Caanan would be another possibility at 21. I've said this many times but my personal favorite in this draft and the player I'd love the Jazz to take at 14 is Giannis, it probably won't happen but for 9 more days I can hope.
We need shooters, scorers, creators so it will be interesting. I think if it were me I'd take Olynyk at 14 and Canaan at 21, that 's if Giannis isn't a possiblity.
Oladipo at 2 is bold but could happen. Maybe the Magic go small after all but would have loved to see who OKC picks in his mock!
He mocked the thunder picking Steven Adams
