asimpsonxdParticipantBased on who i believe the bulls will bring back next year i think the needs are a backup bigman and a combo guard/ scoring wing. The bulls always say they will take the best available so i have picked a few PF/C and SG/SF that may be available when they pick at the 16th and 19th spots in the first round.
PF/C: Clint Capela, Montrezl Harrel, Willie Cauley-Stein, Adrien Payne, Jusuf Nurkic, and Cleanthony Early
SG/SF: Nik Stauskas, Jerami Grant, Zach Lavine, P.J. Hairston, James Young, Rodney Hood, and Kyle Anderson
I would like to see the Bulls go after Willie Cauley-Stein (if he declares) and Zach Lavine. Defensive minded big man to learn under Noah and Taj and a quick combo guard to be Rose’s understudy.
Who do you think they will go after and why?

asimpsonxdParticipanti initially figured Adrien Payne and James Young when i first started thinking about this. Stretch 4 that is a great defender is the perfect fit for the bulls, only downside i think is his age vs WCS. I think James Young is a great pick who would also mesh well. IMO Lavine fills a bigger hole as we do have Butler and Snell.

mbramilanParticipantA-Payne is more complete than WCS and James Young fits perfectly with rose snell and butler. Young defense is a concern

JoeWolf1Kirk and DJ are nice vets that contribute to a playoff team, but I’d love the Bulls to get some youth in at the guard position. Napier, Stauskas, and maybe Ennis if he slips, would be good options for Chicago IMO. They could also take a project like Capela or LaVine since they have 2 first rounders.

joecheck88ParticipantI’ve got no problem with Payne. Think he can back up the 4/5 both and it’s a great fit with his shooting. The other pick I think it is time they get a guy that can create for himself and others. I’m not sure if Payton is that guy. I don’t think young can take the ball and get you a bucket. They need more speed and overall athleticism from their backcourt.

Moon RiverParticipantYou are 100% correct on what positions they need to address and there is enough talent in this years draft where they can realistically get the players that are being discussed. I would love to see them get Payne and Lavine/Young. That, along with getting your stretch four (Mirotic) stateside, you have a very nice team heading into 2014-2015.

livinlegend4blkParticipantPj hariston but W.C.S I would take because of his mobility a defensive impact but I think he might be a injury risk

OhCanada-ParticipantThey need an offensive wing. I think Young, Stauskas, and Hood would be good fits. Frontcourt depth never hurts Adreian Payne, W.C.S., Nurkic. Dont rule out any stash products remember they also acquired Mirotic which seems like an amazing choice at this time.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantIsnt Payne too similar to Gibson? We all assume that Boozer is heading out and Gibson will start with Noah, right? Then again, maybe Payne is the perfect bench big because he is lomg enough to play some center but seems really thin.
If they go Payne, they need to find a backup center.
I say draft in this order if avaliable:
Bigs
1st – Aaron Gordon 2nd – Adrian Payne 3rd – Cleanthony Early
Wings
1st – Zach LaVine 2nd – Nik Staskus 3rd – James Young

tuck243Participantthen they will need to get rid of Taj as well. I think Payne is perfect to slide in that position and then they should grab the best potential wing player. If Thibs is still the coach I don’t see why or how James Young doesn’t play defense. He has no other choice.

shangrilaParticipantStauskas and Payne would probably be the dream draft. Stauskas is the kind of shooter they need, while they should be able to cover his defensive limitations easier than probably any other team in the league. Payne looks like a solid backup and helps their shooting to boot.
