valentinethe bulls only have 6 guarenteed contracts next year. the timberwolves and grizzlies both have 3 first round picks each. I was wondering what it would look like if the bulls traded a player for all of those picks.
example luol deng to the timberwolves
and tyrus thomas or kirk hinrich to grizz for the picksthis would give the bulls rose, salmons, noah and either thomas or hinrich
they could also include future draft picks as compensation
with the 6 picks they could draft
according to nbadrafts current estimations
evan turner, hassan whitehead, paul george, lance stephenson, kevin serraphin, luke babbit or solomon alabibecause of the cba expiring next year this is an unusually strong draft year
the sacramento kings currently hold the record for having 5 first round draft picks
it being the kings they had some unusually bad luck that year and the draft that year wasnt as stongwould you role the dice?

Charlie SheenParticipantThe Bulls are not gonna get multiple first rounders for Deng or Hinrich unless Mike Tannenbaum is their GM and this isnt football. But they could package Deng to the T’Wolves they need a SF and he’d fit well maybe add in their first for the T’wolves first and draft Evan Turner to pair him with other hometown hero Derrick Rose thats a scenarion I could see but I doubt the Wolves give up a chance on Turner.

RUDEBOY_Participant13kavak ………u must not have been keeping up wit the Bulls ..Tyrus Thomas was traded to the Bobcats and Salmons was sent to the Bucks at the trade deadline…And most of their nucleus are already very young..Rose & Noah are nice building blocks..The Bulls are already in a re-building mode

JoeWolf1Teams don’t win with rookies. Chicago is trying to rebuild while staying playoff relevant. Skiles and Del Negro were ousted with .500 records and first round playoff losses. Chicago may make some trades with Deng or Hinrich, but not strictly for picks. They have young talent in Noah, Rose, Gibson, and Johnson and they have a solid #17 pick this year. Chicago does NOT need to go younger, but add a vet or solid player at shooting guard or a backup center. Xavier Henry or James Anderson could be around at 17 for the Bulls to pick up, but they Bulls have their star in Rose, now they just need to build a high caliber team around him. A servicable shooting guard and a power forward who can score on the block are their team needs and I doubt they want to swap their left over veterans to get a shot at Derek Favors who may take another 2 or 3 years to really come in to his own. I will give you the Evan Turner to Chicago scenario is intriguing, and lets not forget they lottery hasn’t happened yet…Minnesota doesn’t 100% have the #2 pick.

tedwards83ParticipantIm high, very high, on this draft, there’s a lot of talent, but anybody who trades key rotation players Deng, or Hinrich just for a bunch of picks is high period. Can they move Hinrich, sure, especially if D. Wade wants to come home, but the bulls are a team counting on Free Agency, not the draft, though they have had good luck with the draft and will likely do well again, I’m thinking Paul George or Udoh.
