SlimParticipantCleveland trades Delonte West and Sebastian Telfair to Minnesota for Ramon Sessions, Ryan Hollins and a draft pick, a source told Y! Sports.
Wolves could waive Delonte West, only guaranteed $500,000, to further get under the salary cap, and trade Telfair, source tells Y! Sports.

they should of demanded for Koufus! Hollins is allright but rebuilding team could help Kosta, he’s 21.
They are also said to be considerind resigning West after hes waived. Minny may also waive Telfair if they cant trade him.

WizardofOzParticipantCleveland should start rebuilding. Just because LeBron left, they are trying to get back at him and are trying to win a championship before he does, which is obvious not going to happen unless they make a major move. Just end the grudge you have with LeBron and start rebuilding because they obviously aren’t going to win a championship before LeBron does with their current roster.

UofAxWildcatsParticipantthat doesnt make sense why would the twolves want telfair when they got rid of him a couple of years ago!

bishopm.dotParticipantI don’t understand how this trade helps them at all. Maybe the draft pick works out but Ramone Sessions is a nice point guard, no better than Mo Williams and Ryan Hollins isn’t exactly a dominant low post presence. I guess it gets Delonte out of Cleveland but it doesn’t help them fufill Gilbert’s empty promise….

i guess he and Kaun have some commin ideas, any way they used Delonte while they could, before the 5th, and got Sessions who is as good if not better, Hollins who is now the only center on the roster and also got a pick.
They gave up Delonte, knowing he was more then likely getting bought out, and Telfair who didn’t ever play but they liked as a backup pg.
If they get Delonte back it will be just like the trade they did to get Mo and then again to get Jamison.

NashyMingParticipantKahn probably wants to keep Koufos on the TWolves. Koufos is still 21 and has plenty of potential. I guess Kahn was being smart to keep Koufos.
Cavs definitely wanted to get Koufos since he’s an Ohio native and went to Ohio State.

McWinningParticipantGreat move for Cleveland.
They get solid backups at two positions.

Lotto StudParticipantWhy didn’t they trade Boobie Gibson & how many times is Telfair going to get traded…. he’s the true definition of a “JOURNEY MAN” LOL

buckeyefanParticipantWow Cavs you don’t get Koufus and you get rid of Telfair cmon.

ghettosermonParticipant^^ No one wants to take Gibson’s contract especially not the Wolves, the whole reason they are giving Sessions away for free is for cap space, so getting Gibson and his multiple year contract would make no sense.

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI’ll give Kahn a break for the Beasley weed comments- ’cause he said what everyone wanted to say, he just got fined for being the one to say it out loud, lol. That’s the most positive thing you’re going to get from me here. So…Kahn goes on the record saying he doesn’t plan on having three PG’s on the roster. Then, his genius self goes and not only trades for ANOTHER point guard (AND one who could play some minutes at the point), but one who had been on the T-Wolves previously?! That, plus the whole Darko/Webber thing…this guy needs to be fired. NOW. I don’t even care about the whole “give him a few years to prove himself” idea…why would Rubio want to come over and play for this dumb@$$?

knicks82ParticipantI would expect the cavs to resign West when hes waived. Cause if they dont, they are gonna have a problem with the sg position. Without West all they have is Anthony Parker and Christian Eyenga.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantHow you giving Khan a break when your name is: Fire Khan?
I think this was a good move to restart everything for Cleveland. Sessions should be good and Hollins is a energy guy who can give you 15-20min a night.

MagikKnickParticipantI think its a good deal for Cleveland, Sessions and Hollins aren’t bad assets
As for Minnesota, well….they basically traded Sessions and Hollins for 2 guys that likely won’t be on the roster opening day. But David Kahn made the trade, so…not much should be expected

dipt1982ParticipantIt doesn’t make them extremely better, but at least they’re trying something…

SubZeroParticipantHollins has some potential. All of it may have flown out with that staircase dunk early last season haha

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantThis trade puts the Wolves nearly 18 mil under the cap… they will need to hold on to Telfair a while until Flynn gets back from Hip surgery.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantAfter what Donnie Walsch did to you guys with Houston… you should recognize a salary dump when you see one.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/26/2010 - 6:28pm #363264
651TwolvesParticipantThe Cavs should have pursued Ridnour harder and done a sign in trade to the Wolves demanding Koufus instead of Hollins. And (for some reason) Kahn probably would have wanted Ridnour that much to still trade away Sessions, Koufus and a 2nd rounder…

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantYou can’t sign and trade other teams freeagents as per league rules.

SwatLakeCityParticipantCavs Fans be happy you didn’t get Koufos, he is horrible. He is worse than Hawes who is known around the league as the Big Softie. Koufos is softer than a sugar cookie that just got out of the oven, Hawes is that sugar cookie, and Koufos will literally just melt in your hands. That is how stiff and soft he is. Cavs, good not great trade, Wolves, what are you doing? This trade is just more proof of Kahn’s love for middle class PG’s. Cavs are the clear winners of this trade, and Wolves fans, I feel your pain, but the only way you will start winning again is if you get rid of Kahn. Just go on strike and force Kahn to go out of business.
