knicks4lyfe88ParticipantUnless a miracle happens and the derrick williams is the second coming of lebron. the clippers will recieve minesotas lottery pick and be picking in the lottery in a very deep draft. Dont know how the lottery will play out. but who of the current college stars would suit there team best? are they better suited to acquire young talent or package the pick in a trade? what are your thoughts?

2565celticsdo you think the clippers will make the playoffs

TyroberParticipantI think they are going to end up trading the pick in a blockbuster trade for Howard or Paul. CP3 and DH are leaving, but we don’t know where yet. That pick is very valuable

kngojcParticipantThe Clippers need to trade that Wolves pick soon while everyone still thinks the Wolves suck a lot. I don’t think they finish last this season, I think they get probably around the 7th worst record. So they’d get much more value from that pick if they traded it now as opposed to closer to the deadline.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe odds are high LAC will be picking in the top five. There’s a reason the T-Wolves finished with a 15 game losing streak and had the worst record in the league last season… They can’t defend anybody, especially down the stretch. They’re solid offensively, but have no go-to player when the game matters and turn the ball over more than anybody in the league.
LAC has enough young talent, so I’m sure they want to trade the pick, but I don’t think they’d pass up Harrison Barnes if he’s available.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantIf I’m the Clips I put the best offer for CP3 early and put pressure on the Hornets accept before teams get settled into camp & it becomes a distraction.
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=csam69p plus the Minny pick is something I don’t think NO can refuse. They get a big expiring deal, a young stud in EG, potential in Aminu+Bledsoe, and a guaranteed lotto pick in a great draft, all while shedding Ariza’s contract. While it’s a lot to give up, think about it: is Sterling really gonna sign Blake & CP3 to top dollar deals AND still pay Eric Gordon 8 figures next summer? We all know that won’t happen, so might as well send him in this deal and ensure they get CP#. Chris Paul is Chris Paul and adding his playmaking and leadership is only gonna make Blake even better. The Clips would still have about $10 mil in cap space and could go after big Tyson Chandler…his best years came playing off CP3 and his defensive pressence would more than make up for whatever Blake lacks on that end. From there all they’d need is a 2 guard that can shoot the 3 and doesn’t need the ball in their hands. There’s options they could get for cheap(Anthony Parker, Michael Redd, Rasual Butler, and to a lesser extent even T-Mac or VC)

OllstarParticipantI hope Clips dont trade eric gordon. He wont command a max contract. 10 mill a year for EG is worth it.

fastdanParticipantIf he can stay healthy, in two years EG will be the best SG in the league. I hope they don’t trade him, but the thought of CP3 and Blake give me a tingly feeling all over.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantI know Gordon won’t command max $, but he’s worth closer to $12 mil than he is $10 mil and when you think about Sterling being the Clips owner, he’s gonna have to max CP3 the 4yr/74 and Blake will make another all-star team so he’ll be the designated 30% of the cap guy when he’s due his extension. Being from LA I’ve seen Sterling fumble away great talent on the rise and good groups far too many times. He’s notoriously one of the cheapest guys around and I highly doubt he’ll pay Gordon when he has to put so much $ into those 2.
