Sources: Clippers, Celtics discussing Kevin Garnett trade
By Adrian Wojnarowski and Marc Spears | Yahoo! Sports – 23 minutes ago

“HOUSTON — The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Clippers have been discussing a deal to trade forward Kevin Garnett for guard Eric Bledsoe and center DeAndre Jordan, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

There are differing factions within the Celtics and Clippers on the prudence of the deal, but the two teams have been in regular contact about the possibility, sources said.

Nevertheless, the biggest hurdle could ultimately center on Garnett’s willingness to waive his no-trade clause and accept a deal to the Clippers.
Because of his home in Malibu, and a close relationship with Clippers guard Chauncey Billups, there’s hope that Garnett, a 15-time All-Star, could be coaxed into accepting a trade if an agreement is reached, sources said.

The Clippers had expressed reluctance to several teams about parting with Bledsoe until they were certain that Chris Paul would re-sign this summer to a long-term deal, sources said. The organization has become increasingly confident that Paul will stay, but every franchise decision is made within the context of how it will impact Paul, and how he feels about it.

There’s strong sentiment within parts of the organization that Garnett gives the Clippers a chance to compete for a championship this season. He could spread the floor for the Clippers and open up the lane for Blake Griffin. In the short term, the re-emergence of Billups could cut into Bledsoe’s minutes the rest of this season.

For the Celtics, Bledsoe, 23, and Jordan, 24 would give Boston two young players with significant upside to start a revamp of the roster. With Rajon Rondo returning next season from an ACL injury, it’s unclear how the Celtics would proceed, but it could ultimately give them a chance to use a healthy Rondo in trade scenarios. ”

What a great trade for both teams!! If this trade does go through look for the Clippers to be instant championship contenders and I think if the Clippers want to make a big run, they will have to trade some young pieces (DeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe). What does this mean for Boston? You get two young pieces and you potentially make Rondo expendable. Do you think the rumours Rondo for Howard will be true? Obviously it won’t happen by this deadline (unless the Lakers want to tank) but could it possibly happen in the off season when Rondo is healthy? Look at the Celtics record since Rondo is injured. A potential sign and trade between the two teams? Howard will get max money and will go to the Celtics and will be the MAIN MAN, no more playing in Kobe’s shadow. He will be the MAIN MAN in Boston since Pierce will be retiring soon.

Anyways, I posted this trade a couple weeks back. Here is the link: http://nbadraft.net/forum/possible-trade-4

But let me know what y’all think.

I’m not really sure if this trade is a good idea for either team because Bledsoe is so important to what the Clips do and Deandre if the perfect compliment to Blake down low, I’d expect Jeff Green to find a way into this trade.

But I do know this, that I would not want to compete against a starting backcourt of Eric Bledsoe and Avery Bradley, that’s a nightmare just trying to get apast half court.

What if the Celtics also dealt Bradley to the Clippers?

than Bledsoe and Butler. The only way this trade could go down is if they throw in Jordan. Jeff Green included would make this a bad trade for the C’s and I would keep Green he is getting better every week. I think it’s a bad trade for the Clips if they do it. Give Jordan and Bledsoe up? That is their future and they are not winning a title this year getting rid of those two for KG. They become old and often injured at the PG spot. I don’t see it happening. They lose Paul and give away Bledsoe they will regret that. Blake nor KG block tons of shots so they would lose that too. KG would improve their overall defense though.

Lakers must do something with Howard,he’s not fitting in there at all..

Things would be so different if that CP3 Deal had went through……….
