     " WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski

Clippers confirm the harsh news on Chauncey Billups: Torn left Achilles tendon, out for season. Career likely done"

Do you belive it know? When you think that this time it’s going to be ok, the team plays better and better such a thing happens. Why it always happens to the Clippers? Is it some kind of curse?

They will probably go now for J.R Smith. The Knicks also want him so it will be interesting where he will end. I will be not surpised by rumors that the Clippers are looking for a trade for Stevenson, Bogans or maybe Stephen Jackson because the Bucks want to trade him.

What do you think? what should they do in this situation?

I’ve read that D’Antoni wants J.R very much. I think that they need anybody whose better that Toney Douglas or Billy Walker a with all the negative things you can say about J.R Smith he’s for sure a better player than these two. If you watched the Nuggets you probably saw that J.R can create something from the p&r so I’m not surprised that D’Antoni wants him.

Billups career could be done? That’s really sad news, he was still one of the most clutch 3 point shooters in the game..

Great player, you dont get a nickname " Big Shot" for free. Hope the Clippers vs Magic game wasnt the last time that we saw Chauncey Billups on the court…

I wouldnt say Clipper curse. Its not like the future of this organization banked on a mid thirties, washed up, has-been playing out of position.

Love that these usually come after a player is severely injured. Brilliant use of common sense and logic. This post was struck by the "Idiot Curse".

    "Do you believe it (k)now?"

In other words, no, do not believe in curses. Think they are ridiculous and that this is just a really unfortunate thing to happen to a player that did not deserve it, as per usual when someone tears their ACL. I have a hard time blaming injuries on organizations (even as many times as people point to the Blazers, amongst other teams) and an even harder time believing a team is cursed with anything more than poor management/ownership. Nonetheless, even with Chauncey’s age, do not think that a "Curse" has eff all to do with this.

No need for name calling Mikey (lmao idiot curse)… Everyones entitled tyo an opinion no matter how radical and unrational it is.

There is no curse, youve got a 35 year old basketball player who has been in the league 14 years, played 1002 reg season games (averaged 32-mpg), and 140 post-season games (averaged 37-mpg), at a very consistant rate without many injuries. It is a matter of ratios that he gets at least one major injury within that timeframe. The guy has played 1000 regular season games, most die hard FANS have barely watched 1000 games in their life! (at least the young ones).

Horrible news for Chauncey, on the flipside I believe that JR Smith maybe a little starstruck from dropping 50-points every other night in China. If he can somehow get past his ego he could be an amazing fit on this LAC team, although his ego might thrive on this team, in "Lob City" with the lights shining and cameras flashing. To be honest is projected mold as a player fits in better for the team then Chauncey does due to the fact that LA has Moe Williams as that combo scoring gaurd, and Bledsoe as another backup PG.

    1. Billups has already vowed to return so take his word on it not mine but apparently he will make a comeback.

2.Billups this year is not washed up at all. The guy has been chauncey Billups, he was scoring 15-ppg with 4-apg on a team with two extremely ball dominant players Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, a great third gaurd Moe Williams and a reamerged Caron Butler. To score 15-ppg with that cast takes a high level of skill and relevance. No way has he been washed up.

3.There is no freaking curse although negative thoughts attract negative results. Theres your stupid curse.

Oh Canada…hes averaging 15 a game because hes HOGGING THE BALL! Hes shooting 36% from the field! That is terrible… stop with this nonsense that he’s on a team with stars and still producing. Thats because CP3 is so unselfish and letting him take a ridiculous volume of shots. 36% shooting…nuff said.

He’s a pure 3 point shooter now, that’s why he shoots at 36%.

I agree that everyone is entitled to their opinion. But, I also believe that claiming that someone was badly injured due to a curse, is ludicrous. Hence, my "Idiot Curse" useage. I truly dislike someone claiming that a person got hurt due to the team they play for and find it somewhat insulting to general logic.

It could be true, I may be wrong, but I have an exceptionally hard time fathoming the entire concept in general. Hence, the tone of my previous post. I am not for name calling, but I felt that this whole "curse" thing needs to die. People on the Suns get hurt as well. Amare Stoudemire missed a season due to microfracture surgery. But, everyone goes to Phoenix to get healthy.

I understand that certain teams have certain trends, but I find that grouping them together and labelling them a curse, when they are in fact a part of people playing the game of basketball, is ridiculous. Also, the tone, whether it was implied or not of "I told you the Clippers were cursed, Chauncey Billups may have a career ending injury!", certainly did not help my restraint in words over this post.

The only curse the clippers have is donald sterling. Until now hes has basically ruined everything about the team, treated his players and personal like crap, and is the biggest penny pincher in the history of the nba. Its only a matter of time before he goes back ti his old self…and i hope im wrong for clippers fans because they finally have something to be excited about and an actually chance to contend in the next coming years if they continue to put it all togather
