The Los Angeles Clippers and Vinny Del Negro have reached an agreement in principle concerning the team’s head coaching position.

Del Negro was head coach of the Chicago Bulls for the 08-09 and 09-10 seasons, compiling a 41-41 record each season.

I, personally, wouldnt hire a HC who has only been able to average a .500 record with his teams, especially directly after one of those seasons…

But whats the verdict, Good Signing Or Bad Signing?

Vinny still needs to learn the ropes….he should have been hired as an asst. coach for a while. I will say that he handled that whole situation with the Bulls with class and never caved in.

Everyone seems to like him as a person but he needs to get better at coaching….especially in end of game situations.

“Rose at the end of the game Vinny!”

    i haved mixed feelings

im happy for Vinny because he was a good guy and the Bulls did him wrong but on the other hand I dont think i would choose him over Byron Scott, Lawrence Frank, Mike Brown, Mike Woodson. But then again i have no idea if they even contacted or even got turned down by these guys already.

If I was an owner I would name my left testicle head coach before ever making Mike Brown the HC.

I thought he was unfairly fired by the Bulls. Now with the Clippers, the real assessment of his coaching can begin. With the Clippers, he has more offensive talent so we can really judge on the type of X’s and O’s guy he really is. The reason his offense was so plain with Chicago was because Derrick Rose was his only standout option. I would’ve just let Rose go pick and roll all game too lol

I like the hire, I think he has a lot of talent to work with and should be able to come in right away and make a splash…this team may not be a top 4 in the west but they may compete for that 8 spot

My views on the clippers is until Donald Sterling gives up this team, it doesnt matter who they hire.
